This is my second time staying with the hotel. It is also the only hotel in Hanoi that I wish to stay at. The staff is excellent, and so friendly. The bed was amazing, and the breakfast is great!

The hotel was very convenient and highly accessible to the Old Quarter of Hanoi. It is located off a side street away from the busy street that made it more pleasant to stay in. The rooms were comfortable and had plenty of space and served traditional cuisines for breakfast that we were able to try and enjoy. They were also very helpful with coordinating the transportation to and from the airport and gave us recommendations of places and restaurants to visit.

In general, we had a great experience at The Splendid Grand Hotel. The rooms, particularly the bathroom was a bit dated with 2nd rate painting facelift painting. The Front Desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, in particular Kimmie who had great knowledge with the day tours. The breakfast buffet was excellent with very good variety with fresh fruit, and a mix of western and Vietnamese options. Now for the more serious problem. My daughters brand new pearl earrings were stolen from her unlocked backpack in her locked room. After turning her room upside down and looking in every crack or hole in the room, we reported the theft to the Manager who immediately stated that in 25 years, he has never seen staff steal from guests. Unfortunately, my daughter discovered the theft as she was packing for our Check out, meaning that calling Police was not a probable option. The hotel manager simply said sorry and hoped that we find it when we got home. Needless to say, we did not find them. My daughter was excited with her purchase and did not want to wear it whilst in Vietnam and wanted to save it for a special occasion when she got back home so she knew that when it was missing, that it had been stolen The hotel's handling was akin to sweeping it under a rug .

Cute little hotel in old quarter - note it is not 4 star standard more like a 3 star hotel however the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and made our stay very special. We were after big rooms and good location and that is exactly what we got so we were very happy. Even booking tours with the hotel was easy, reliable and reasonably priced.

The people at Splendid is what makes it a special place. Customer service was five star and could be compared to some of the top end hotels of the world. In fact, better than most five stars hotels that I have stayed in like the JW Marriott and Taj. Fantastic location in the old quarter. The rooms are nice and roomy but the bathroom was not as nice one would get in a four star hotel. Overall package and the price point makes it a very compelling choice

The staff were very helpful from booking through to our departure. They made our stay very comfortable. The hotel was located close to everything and spa services were convenient and easily accessible. Brian was a great help throughout!
