Overall ok stay. The hotel is in a prime area with shops and riverfront activities. The hotel itself was ok. I was a given a different room than what was booked and didn't dispute because we were extremely tired.

The man working at the front desk was very kind. However, the other woman was very rude and impolite. In the room, there was a very large wasp flying around. The window was covered with cobwebs and bugs, and the wallpaper was old and stained in many corners. It is a very old hotel, and although the hot tub is indoors, it was not in operation.

I booked with Expedia, a 2 q bed room. Upon arrival I was told by the front desk clerk that my reservation through “Webbeds” was for a single q. I showed them my confirmation email and they switched my room, thankfully, but I found this odd. The staff were very friendly. The indoor pool and hot tub were really nice, the outdoor pool could have used some attention. The room could stand a deep clean, but overall, nice. Location was great and parking was easy in a lot. I would stay there again!

This 1980’s hotel is right down by the Riverfront. Freshly painted inside. Furniture is getting tired but new furnishings are coming. Bedding and mattresses are clean and comfy. We walked to the riverboat, Molly Brown’s house and Twain’s house. Caverns are a 5 minute drive and we did them all. Great food is a three block or so walk.

Upholstered chair had numerous stains. Light shades all had small holes as did the light blocking curtains. The tv credenza had scratches and the door didn’t close. There were two flies in the room when we arrived. We asked at the desk for bug spray but the handed us a fly swatter. The combination of defects made our stay less than expected.Thankfully we were only there for one night.

While clean, the property did show its age. The unique feature was the swimming in the LOBBY. I asked the front desk clerk about it. Apparently it’s a hold over from when it was built in the early 1980’s. After that, laws were passed requiring the pools behind walls. As cool as it was to see a swimming pool in the lobby, it does affect your stay. The whole hotel smells like chlorine and is warm and humid. In your room, you can alter the temp, but you hear the echos from the people playing in the pool. They have strict pool hours to limit the noise, however. Overall, it was fine…clean, comfortable beds, etc. Breakfast was typical of this style of hotel. So you be the judge of that.

Very disappointing.

Hotel location is great, but property is very run-down, dark and dingy. Most importantly, don't indicate that the pool is actually in the middle of the lobby and there is no escape from the chlorine fumes that invade every space, including the room. We had a constant headache entire time due to that. Also no escape from the noise related to children/others using the pool.
