The property was very clean and well appointed. The room was cosy but the bathroom was large in comparison. The amenities were excellent and the staff were friendly. Sadly, the ground floor unit occupant is at the mercy of the upstairs occupants. My nights sleep was disrupted at 10.15-11pm at night due to the upstairs spa bath being run. The noise was immense, loud and vibrating. It sounded like a loud rumble dryer operating directly above the ceiling, then the sound of a washing machine as the water drained from the tub. All attempts to call, message and email the owners of the property were ignored and I was left to wait it out. Luckily by 11pm the noise stopped and I could return to sleep.

Settlers deserves nothing other that a 5* rating. If you go to Hanmer Springs don’t even bother looking at any other accommodation - choose Settlers every time. From the fantastic and personal welcome by Brett thru to the beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean suite and all the thoughtful touches (sticking plasters, hot water bottle and extension cable), Settlers is perfect.
