Two weeks into our holiday, this is the loveliest place we have stayed so far. The owners were both so friendly and helpful, and the room was gorgeous. Lots of very thoughtful little touches. It was nice to be just off the main road and nice and quiet, but still very easy walk to everything. I can recommend this accomodation without hesitation, and if I am lucky enough to come back to Hanmer springs again I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great room and a fabulous location

Really loved our spa room which had a complete kitchen as well as the spa bathtub and an outside balcony. Bed was comfortable and the location was superb just a five minute walk to the thermal pools and a similar distance to the Hanmer Forest entrance on Scarborough Terrace. Highly recommended. The nicest room we have had in New Zealand so far.

The motel is located close to the pools and is in a quiet location. We booked a room with a separate king sized bedroom and balcony. The room was good and had pretty much everything you would want to be able to cook except a dishwasher. Very close to the forest walks - I would recommend the sculpture walk. There are great food options in Hanmer and several bars.

Amazing Motel in Hanmer!

Not often do I find accommodation where it is even better than it looks in the photos on websites - Settlers Boutique Motel has been beautifully renovated with a lovely look and feel. I got a warm welcome and shown to the cosy warm room thanks to the heat pump being already on, which was a nice touch. The room had been tastefully updated with lovely modern furniture, very nice bed linen and fantastic wallpaper! The room was beautifully presented with lots of attention to detail that was appreciated. Navjeet the house keeper left a lovely note and I really appreciated her great attention to detail and beautiful presentation of the room. The owners were lovely to talk with and clearly have a passion for tourism which is very hard to find these days. Highly recommended and I look forward to visiting often on my work travels to the area.

Friendly staff, the 2-bedroom family unit was perfect for what we needed. It was warm, quiet, clean; my bed was so comfortable! The shower pressure was great. Had a hot plate for us to make dinner on, space for 4 people to be in easily, and although around the corner from the Springs - the walk was easy, quick and because it's nestled that little bit back from the main road it was extra quiet! They gave us towels to use for the pools. Honestly one of the best motels I've stayed at - great for families in that 2 bedroom unit!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay Settlers Boutique Motel over a weekend. The property is exceptionally quiet, set back from the busy main area of Hanmer, but close enough to walk to all amenities including the pools, shopping, restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The friendly staff ensured we had a perfect stay! Would absolutely recommend staying here - we will definitely be back!

This place was amazing. They took good care of me and the room was beautiful. They have a DVD player and allow you to borrow DVDs so it felt nostalgic. They even gave me a towel to borrow for the hot pools. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be staying here again
