Check in staff pleasant & welcoming. My first room allocated to me was already occupied. Opened door to find dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom. There was a suitcase in the room & cups had been used. As I left the guests allocated this room arrived. They were very surprised to find me leaving their room. They were annoyed as their room keys didn’t work as the key I was given cancelled theirs. Returned to reception with all my luggage to be allocated a vacant room. Room & bed looked clean. Furniture was very tatty. Edges of desk looked like it had been used to open beer bottles. All the melamine stripped away. Windows ill fitting allowing in the rain. Not air conditioned. Windows only opened partially. Extremely warm room. Woke up to find condensation running down the panes of glass. Woke up in a bath of sweat despite sleeping au natural. Check out smooth. You get what you pay for. This place needs air conditioning & a refurb.

Pre cruise stay

Basic but perfectly fitted our needs for a pre cruise stay. Very close to port and short walk to west quay

It was fine for the night before a cruise. The next morning it was only a short walk (about half a mile) to the Horizon terminal, we could already see our ship out of the room window. If I were going to the City or other, further, cruise terminals, I'd use a taxi or get a nearer hotel. The plughole had a little lever behind the tap, but that was jammed, which would have made shaving difficult if I had bothered, and I wasn't keen on the shower, but I have an excellent one at home, so I'm biased.

It was a ok hotel but when we went for breakfast at 9.15 they hadn't kept up with refilling, eggs gone sausage gone hash brown's gone , water for tea came out brown, cappuccino just sending out warm milk.

The room is adequate with essentials for a single traveler. It is walking distance to the cruise terminal, stores, shopping mall, IKEA and restaurants. The staff were nice and breakfast included a variety of options. The carpet in the room needed a good vacuuming and cleaning. Staff should have said there were live music the day we arrived, which would've been a great treat. We happen to be leaving for dinner and caught the last song- the gal was very good. It is a bit pricey but it's because of the close proximity to the cruise terminal. We ended up catching an Uber to the port bc of the rain and cold temperature.

The hotel is in a great area close to shops and was perfect for us visiting the nearby university open day . We found the room and beds very small . The shower was terrible and just had a dribble of water, my daughter has thick hair and it didn’t rinse through her hair . The worst thing was the noise from the rooms above . At 2:30am it sounded like a party was going on with loud music and talking and furniture being moved around. I’m sure they we’re playing football!! The breakfast in the morning was very poor . There were no hash browns or mushrooms . The sausages and bacon were cold and hard . I won’t be staying in an ibis again it’s really put me off ! I was looking forward to staying away with my daughter as we don’t get to do it often and we were really disappointed. On a plus side the staff were very polite and attentive.
