Nice All Inclusive Hotel With Private Beach.

Pros: Grotto Bay all inclusive hotel is conveniently located five minutes from the airport. Great views, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Good food.
Cons: Dinner buffet could use more meat choices. Limited selection overall.
Location: Excellent location only five minutes from airport and bus stop outside property. The zoo, aquarium and museum 10 minutes away by bus. Grotto caves 5.
Grotto Bay all inclusive hotel is conveniently located five minutes from the airport. Great views, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Food selection is good and quality of food is very good. Pool was always clean, beach was shell free with excellent snorkeling. The room was very clean and well taken care of by housekeeping. Bus stop right outside making the property very convenient.

Grotto Bay in March

Cons: The sliding glass door having a lock to get would have make the room more accessible.
Location: Swizzle Inn (5 min walk), bus to Hamilton, Dockyard, and beach.
I loved this hotel from the food to the caves to the activities they offer. The pools, ocean, and caves were all very clean and inviting. The weather was cool but beautiful. However this resort was not made for handicap vacation-goers. All the rooms have at least one staircase to get into room. However they were very accommodating with room changes. Not to mention you have to go up a hill to get to the restaurants. Loved the all inclusive package. Everyone at this resort was so friendly from the waitstaff, front desk, concierges and maintenance men. However the room could have used some maintenance. (one of our lamps had the bulb not attached to the base which made it touch the shade) All meals, alcohol (expect some of their specialty drinks), and activities (paddle boarding, kayak) were included. A bus/ferry pass which was included in the package was great for getting around the island. The pool was salt water and heated which was plus in the cooler weather. They also offered multiple yoga classes which I was looking forward to.

Bermuda & Grotto Bay Beach Resort

Pros: High tea, the caves and beach, the couple massage.
Cons: Rooms are now being updated. A sofa in the room would be a valued improvement.
Location: The hotel is right next to a bus stop that allows you to get anywhere on the island. Fantasy and Crystal caves are both a short walk from the hotel.
First of all: Bermuda is a great place to visit, with so many things to see and do coupled with a rich history and exceptionally friendly and welcoming people. The Grotto Bay Beach Resort is a great place to base your stay on the island. While the rooms are just average (though with great views of the bay), they are currently being renovated and will soon match the other great features of the resort. The bottom line is this: if you are spending your time in your hotel room while in Bermuda then you are missing out! The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful, and always greeted you with a smile. The meals were very good. The afternoon tea was a great way to wind down the afternoon. The pool and spa were wonderful, but the two caves on the property make this a very special resort. The ability to take a swim in a cave is exceptionally special and shouldn't be missed. To top off the stay, be sure to get a massage from their great staff inside the cave - this is a once in a lifetime experience that is well worth the expense! This is a great hotel, and their fantastic staff made our vacation experience that much better.

The place to be !

Pros: The grounds are beautiful, the food is great, pool and a beach ! There is nothing not to like !!
Cons: Nothing
Location: The Blue Hole is a must, & it's right across the street. You have to explore the island, but you can stay at the Grotto & always have something to do
This was our third trip to Bermuda and there simply is no other place to stay than the Grotto ! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is very attentive, friendly and incredibly nice ! They always have something nice to say, and very helpful. My wife's ankle was bothering her, and without us asking, the Bellman, picked her up in a golf cart and took us all over to the Swizzle Inn and then came back to pick us up !! There is no place like Bermuda, and there is no place like the Grotto Bay Beach Resort !! The only bad thing is having to leave. We'll be back !

"Reasonable" hotel with calm beach

Pros: Nice beach with very calm, clear, turquoise waters. Rooms with water views and closer to the beach than larger resorts.
Location: Close to airport (5 min taxi), St. George (10-15 min bus), Crystal caves (10 min walk). Walk to Swizzle Inn right next door. Bus stop right out front.
If you like calm water, convenience to the airport, all inclusive option, lower price than other beach resorts this is the place in Bermuda. Not a luxury hotel, but a very nice place to stay. Small, but nice beach with very calm, clear, turquoise waters. Kid friendly, but difficult for the elderly due to many stairs (though staff will drive you and your luggage to your room). Nice caves on site to swim in or for a massage. Plan to return.

Enjoyed our stay

While the place could use some updating, it was generally clean. The staff was very friendly, and the facilities very nice. This place wasn't cheap, but nothing was in Bermuda. Expect $17 cheeseburgers.

Lovely hotel with a private beach

Very close to the airport but you don't hear a lot of airplane noise. We didn't do the all inclusive as we expected to (and did) have dinner in the towns most nights. The breakfast buffet was good, with a good selection of choices. The swimming cave was cool, literally and figuratively as the water was pretty chilly. We didn't do the cave spa but we did go snorkeling on the private beach and checked out the sunken wreck, and it was some pretty good snorkeling. The staff was very nice. The walls are decently noise canceling but it seemed the floor / ceiling and doors are not. We were sleeping in a lot (hey, it's vacation!) and we could hear the cleaning crew shifting furniture and vacuuming upstairs, and we could hear pretty clearly the people talking outside near our door. Luckily we were in the building on the outer edge of the property so the noise of people talking nearby didn't happen that often. Also there's a super convenient scooter rental next to the property and the bus stops right outside the property too. All in all, though a bit expensive, I would definitely stay again if I was looking for a nicer / luxury hotel stay in Bermuda.

Nice hotel on the beach

Pros: Clean rooms and friendly staff
Cons: WiFi in rooms
Location: Quick walk to the Swizzle Inn, Crystal and Fantasy Caves, and an ice cream shop. Bus stops right outfront. Close to the airport and a gas station.
We really enjoyed our stay at Grotto Bay. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only thing we did not like was the WiFi was only available in the hotel lobby and by the pool; there was none available in the rooms. They advised it was being worked on but we had heard that was over two weeks ago. Aside from that, it was very close to the airport and walking distance from restaurants and the bus stop. Would definitely stay there again!

The resort was just ok.

Pros: The hotel was located very close to the airport.
Cons: I would clean the place up. Bermuda itself looks run down every where that I went. It looks like a ghetto rather than a place where folks vacation.
Location: There really isn't much to do in Bermuda especially if you have been there once before. The water is the attraction. It is to costly!
The resort looks run down from the registration area to inside the room. It looks as if they have no money to pay staff to keep the place clean. Repairs are being done and many more are needed. The bathroom had mole growing inside the shower in the ceiling. The beige bed colors did not smell fresh and clean, the furniture had not be wiped down with water because the table and the television table top were sticky as if soda had been spilled. My room was directly across from an ice machine that made a loud noise all night long because ice was being made. The ice machine was sitting outside in the heat beside the soda machine. On the second night when I got up to use the bathroom, I was greeting by a huge water bug who somehow had landed on his back and could not turn himself over. The iron tip was broken off, the coffee pot stand had dried coffee on it because someone had pulled the pot away to pour coffee while the coffee was still brewing. The people next door partied all three night into the morning. I was really, really disappointed. The place was not this way when I stayed there in 2013.
