Great weekend getaway stay, lovely renovated historic building, a few maintenance issues but good otherwise, bathroom becomes a full wet area due to design and ventilation, needed to crank heating to keep warm.

Excellent comfortable room, very good amenities. We booked a ground floor as my wife has a dodgy hip but our Room 4 was accessed over about 10m of deep loose gravel and down 2 or 3 steps then up 2 or 3 steps. Heavy going, with no staff to help moving suitcases. Room 2 would have been much, much, easier. Maybe some hints on the website regarding accessibility would help. Also, continuously barking dpgs in one of the properties outside our door were a very real annoyance, and meant we had to keep doors closed, which was a pity in the glorious weather. So, overall, very fine accomodation but accessibility and dog barking shaved off a good slice of enjoyment.
