Better Homes and Gardens displayed O My Scallops on the cover of its summer 2013 edition. Pictures of the house appear as the feature article throughout this edition. Elegant yet cozy, this home is built to provide the perfect family vacation.

This two- level Gulf Front home has a PRIVATE POOL, 6 bedrooms, 5 full and 1 -half baths, and an open-water view unmatched on Fort Morgan. Four of the six bedrooms are MASTER SUITES with BALCONIES facing the beach. Each Gulf Front Master Suite has a BRAND NEW, KING SIZE P-5 SLEEP NUMBER MATTRESS. FIND YOUR PERFECT COMFORT LEVEL AND YOU MAY NOT WAKE UP THE ENTIRE WEEK! The other two bedrooms have 5 sets of FUN LOVING Twin bunk beds,


This unit is fully equipped/stocked and includes everything you need to have THE PERFECT beach vacation! A Keurig coffee maker, a GE juice extractor, televisions galore and mulitple outside grills are just some of the amenities included. Couches, chairs and cabinets abound. A large dining table provides the perfect place for the family to enjoy a special Gulf meal. You might even catch the meal at the water's edge which is a mere 65 feet away from the end of the private beach walk. The home is professionally decorated but personally designed for your comfort.

The house will comfortably accommodate 18 people.

This house rents on a Saturday to Saturday basis during the summer.

There is a $1000.00 Refundable Security Deposit that would be due with the rental of this unit.

Second time staying in this home but with a new manager. Process was simple and easy. House is perfect for larger groups and families. Very close to the water and easy access to a well stocked Dollar General for quick needs. Full grocery and liquor stores are about a 15 minute drive. Good restaurants nearby. Good assortment of kitchen ware. Multiple dishwashers, fridges and ice machines. Great place for seclusion and relaxation. Great stay!

Beautiful location, Great home layout

Our family arrived at O my Scallops on a Saturday in April and were immediately impressed by the location on the beach and the home layout. However, although we had been told that the pool was broken the Thursday before our Saturday arrival, we were unprepared for the empty pool with no barrier around it on the back deck which we had to pass on the way out to the beach. When originally informed of the pool situation, we asked to move to another beachfront property with a pool, we were assured the pool would be working by the Monday of our stay.With 6 children, I was very concerned about someone falling in the empty hole. Our grandchildren (except for the infant) are all able to swim well enough to get themselves to the side of a pool with water in it. When we arrived, it did not appear that the pool would be serviceable on Monday. As it turned out the pool was ready for swimming on Wednesday evening and we were able to use it on Thursday (checked out on Friday) The air conditioning upstairs was not working and it was very warm upstairs.The grills on the property were dirty and one was filled with cigarette butts. With all that being said, Sue, our host was VERY responsive. They got the airconditioning repair man out within a couple hours and he fixed the airconditioning. A new Weber Grill was delivered. In addition, Sue offered us a partial refund for the inconvenience of the empty pool. Many positives for this property,just needed more preparation for our arrival.

Wonderful home for large families

Breathtaking - the first view of the huge open family room with windows to the ocean was stunning! Having King beds in 5 Master suites (with one on the main floor for the great-grandparents) was especially nice; plenty of room to all be together, yet private bedrooms. The girls squealed "we're staying in the Barbie Beach House!" and were thrilled with their bunk rooms.

The house is amazing and exactly as advertised! The pictures don't do the openness of the kitchen/dining/living rooms justice. Perfect for larger groups that want to spend time together. Bedrooms allow privacy and an opportunity to get away without losing access to ocean sounds and views. Had some issues with travel getting there but the property management was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend this property if space and privacy is desired!
