This is a non smoking property, this includes the balcony, thank you for adhering to this policy.
This 3rd floor, updated 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit is sure to make you feel at home while away from home! There are sliding glass doors from the den as well as the ocean side master bedroom and bathroom to an oversize balcony overlooking the white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores. There is another master bedroom that has a private bath and balcony street side.

The bedrooms are equipped with a 2 king beds and a set of bunks that is a queen over queen. All bedrooms have new linens, bedding, curtains and flat screen TV's. The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked to prepare meals for the whole family. The living area has new leather sleeper sofa, love seat and side chair with ottoman. There is a washer/dryer in this unit for personal use. The dining table seats 6.

While the inside is beautiful, spacious and relaxing, the outside has just as much to offer. Ocean House has a beautiful zero-entry pool with waterfalls and seating in the middle, two kiddie pools are located on each end of the pool area. Ocean House is known for having the largest pool in Gulf Shores and it has been completely redone after Hurricane Sally. Restrooms are conveniently located near the pool area. While the kids play in the pool or the grassy areas, parents can enjoy themselves under a shady gazebo located at each end of the pool area. The pool deck is extremely large with several lounge chairs for sunbathing. Each end of the pool area has a convenient entry ramp to the beach with showers located at each end to help wash off the sand. In addition, charcoal grills are located on both ends of the complex for your convenience.

If you need more space, we have other Ocean House units
Parking is not included in the reservation total. Parking passes must be purchased onsite. Passes are $40 and there is a 2 pass limit, price is subject to change.

What a convenient location for families. Great, big pool! Right on the beach. The place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of room and the turf on the patio was a great touch.

Overall, our stay was fine. The property is older, so it is expected that things are likely not going to be in perfect condition. The pool area is decent but definitely needs work to clean it up. There could be a better description of what to expect upon arrival, including clear instruction to stop at the little white building upon entry to make sure you get wristbands and parking passes. Yes there are signs but it would be good to include it in the check in details, too.The condo was decent: no bugs or overtly dirty items. However, there was a smell throughout our stay that seemed to be coming from the sinks, almost like backed up plumbing. The bathroom sink was slow to drain and the kitchen sink had a garbage disposal that smelled absolutely terrible. Aside from the smell, the condo had the main surfaces wiped down upon arrival but not much else was done to clean it. Baseboards were nasty looking (and no, I’m not the type to inspect with a white glove or anything like that), walls had dirt on them, handles to the kitchen pantry and laundry looked absolutely filthy, the closet where the trash can was located in the kitchen looked like it had never been vacuumed or cleaned, and just general lack of any type of deep clean for what appears to be an extended amount of time.Again, not terrible and we still had a nice time but not sure I could recommend this to a friend.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but...

It was obvious the place is aging and in need of a good remodel. The funiture was fine, no issues there, but lots of little cosmetic issues all over seem to be building up. I did see 3-4 cockroaches in the kitchen while we were there, in the mornings while cooking, which was probably the worst part, but they scurried away and were not an issue for us, but I would not advise anyone to leave food out overnight... We were contacted our second day there to see if they could "show" the unit as it is apparently up for sale. I declined as it seemed inappropriate to interrupt our paid visit there with a showing. *shrug*. Overall we had a good visit, but we'll take our chances with a new unit next time and wouldn't return to this one. Price should probably be lower since there's some issues...

We were disappointed in the maintenance of the property. Broken dishes/glasses, rusty utensils, 3 broken lamps, peeling paint, cracked tiles, water on fridge shelves, dirt on ceilings from vents, filthy rugs, cheap unmatched patio furniture, roaches. We contacted property manager about a patio table as shown in the description. The owner was not interested in providing one. We checked out 3 days early.

My family loves Gulf Shores Beach and Ocean House has been a very good location for all of us, with the big pool and being right on the beach. Everything is well maintained and fits our family comfortably. Booking via VRBO and with Sunset Properties was clear, simple and professional. We had 4 adults staying in the condo. Plenty of room. Very clean when we arrived. Had issues with WiFi and tried to contact owner with no response. Luckily we were on vacation and not working so we got by. Nice location on ocean front. Had fun playing in the waves.

Great Escape

Dispite some challenges with the unit we were overall thrilled with this property. The ever changing ocean view is amazing 24/7. We loved soaking in the sun poolside and strolling the beach, which is only steps from the AAAAMAZING pool. The location was perfect, an easy drive to food, entertainment and shopping. The challenges: the bedroom facing the parking lot has a door that locks when the door is shut, locking you either in or out. The rental company knew this was a problem sharing a father had to brake the door in to free his son. They repaired the damage done breaking the door in, but not the problem. The lock box and entry keys were challenging to work and the instructions supplied don't fit the lockbox, a key pad like on the unit next door would have saved us some frustration and a lot of time. We also wouldn't have had to track and pass metal keys coming and going, that's a bit dated. The tub was slow to drain in the same bedroom/bathroom that locks you in/out. I discussed these hiccups with Randy/rental company in person while getting a "how to lesson" on unlocking the door and working the lockbox. I hope he takes care of these challenges for the next guests. Dining and playing cards on bench seats at the kitchen table was uncomfortable, real chairs would be a nice touch. The balcony furniture is rusting and not the most comfortable, but the view made that easy to overlook. From wear and tear there are some imperfections with the furnishings, but for a rental we found all our needs met. I understand there are new owners and hope over time they are able to polish this gem! We did have a wonderful vacation and hope to return for a repeat!

Great location, loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of ocean waves. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Loved the pool area right by the beach. Dishwasher very quiet. Only negative thing was a pot handle broke causing my son-in-law to get burned.

Perfect location and view of the ocean, loved the balcony, very spacious, elevators needed cleaning a bit, more pool chairs or rules for people securing the pool chairs, and most of all would be better with a workout facility and hot tub.

The unit was very clean and spacious! The only issues we had was the bottom part of the microwave was warped/melted from being to close to the stove and having to open it just right everytime. The front bedroom stayed a little warmer than the rest of the unit. But other than those two small things we enjoyed our annual trip to Gulf Shores!
