It is on the top floor in a building with an elevator, quite rare in Guimarães traditional buildings, with beautiful views. The apartment is located steps away from all major tourist attractions and cafés and restaurants but quiet nonetheless.

Wonderful Apartment in Historic Center

The owner is extremely kind and helpful. We spent 5 relaxing weeks here and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The apartment was immaculate, kitchen nicely furnished for cooking, even a washer/dryer. The location in the historic center is a major advantage. We could walk out the door anytime and be in the heart of the city. We wandered among historic streets and stopped to sample the local pastries. We watched the neighbors meet in the alleys in the evening or hang their laundry on nearby balconies. We are now spoiled from buying fresh bread daily. We felt like we were living there and would highly recommend staying here if you want to see the tourist sites while living like a local.. Guimarães is charming. and this apartment makes a great home base for a couple.

Ideal um Guimaraes zu erkunden

Tolle Lage am Rande der Altstadt in einem komplett renovierten Altstadthaus im dritten Stockwerk, aber mit Aufzug (fürs Gepäck). Das Appartement ist modern ausgestattet mit 3 Klimageräten und kombinierter Wasch- und Trockenmaschine. Zwei kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge, die das überaus positive Bild nicht beeinträchtigen: Die Kapselmaschine ist nur für einen nicht verbreiteten Kapseltyp verwendbar und zu nichts anderem kompatibel. Die Küchenutensilien lassen darauf schließen, dass die meisten Gäste dort eher nicht kochen und lieber zum Essen ausgehen, wozu es in der unmittelbaren Nähe ausreichend Möglichkeiten gibt. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, sodass man sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben fühlt. Wir würden das Appartement bei einem nächsten Besuch in Guimaeres auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.
