SITUATION PUERTITO GUIMAR located on the south coast of the island, is an ideal area if you are looking for a quiet place, without tourist agglomerations, with a special charm. With areas equipped for swimming in the sea and an extensive black sand beach, typical of the volcanic area. Diving, kayaking, paddle surf… at Radazul sports pier (10 minutes by car) Excellent location to explore the island. By car, in minutes: at 20, Santa Cruz (capital); to 30, La Laguna (World Heritage; 50, Teide National Park; 40, Puerto La Cruz; 50, Garachico; 30 to 40, most tourist area (Médano, Cristianos, Americas, Costa Adeje).
Without a car, "El Malpaís de Güimar" (Special Natural Reserve of great ecological importance), is a unique volcanic landscape that extends from Montaña Grande (former volcanic cone) to the coast, with hiking trails. On the other side you will find a small black sand beach where you can bathe and eat in one of its small restaurants.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD Quiet place, without tourist crowds. It is an old fishing village, with a small shelter for fishing boats, now without activity and conditioning for the bathroom (with access to the sea and solariums) and an extensive black sand beach, typical of volcanic areas.
