The 70-square-meter "Oma Gitti" apartment is located in a semi-detached house with its own entrance. All windows have roller shades that allow you to completely block out the light. You can get a comprehensive look at the accommodation by viewing the photo gallery. Outside, there is a lawn for sunbathing and an outdoor seating area (bench and table set) available for our guests’ use.
Groß Lindow is surrounded by pine forests; the small Schlaube River flows just a few hundred meters from our vacation apartment. For cyclists, there’s a 5-kilometer paved cycling track in the forest (also perfect for skaters) as well as plenty of well-maintained bike paths. For those who love swimming and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), the crystal-clear Lake Katja—located just over 2 km from the vacation rental—is the perfect spot.
Within less than 20 km, you can reach many interesting destinations, such as the Oder River, the resort town of Müllrose, the idyllic Schlaube Valley, the border and university city of Frankfurt (Oder), the Oder ferry in Aurith, or the socialist planned city of Eisenhüttenstadt, which even impressed Tom Hanks during a visit. A detour to Slubice, Frankfurt’s neighboring Polish town, is also well worth it. In addition to the Grand Bazaar, a walk to the newly built 30-meter-high observation tower on the hills near the cemetery is highly recommended. The view is spectacular!
