*Snowmobile season 12/23 thru 04/24 we will have a added bunk in the seating area so it will sleep 4 singles. Located near the East Trail* The Cozy Pine is a 2 bedroom, full kitchen, full bath, walkout lower unit on the outskirts of town surrounded by nature. A short 3 minute drive into the town of Grand Marais, Michigan where you can spend your days beach combing for rocks, hiking to waterfalls or simple enjoying the unique cuisine of our small town village. Staying at Cozy Pines means after a fun filled day you can return to the comforts if home and get a great nights rest so you're ready for another day of exploring!

Great communication with the owner. Very informative. Not far from the little town. Two small issues: The refrigerator could use a check up. Our drinks were not very cold. Relied on freezer to get them colder. Felt like we needed to whisper. Didn’t realize owner lived above. We weren’t there much except a rain day. Slept good and gathered lots of rocks down the road at the beach.

Grand Marais / Picture rocks lake shore

Very nice cozy get away beach is close by down the road . Also nice water falls about 10 min. Away( Sable falls) Took a drive along coast line to Munising to do a tour of Picture rocks as well. The only thing I think the place needed was more pots and pans for cooking something. There was one huge pot and one frying pan to use , other than that the place was very nice. Thank you for letting me stay!

A great little gem

We (four females in our 50s) stayed at the Cozy Pine for a three-day weekend. We hit the jackpot with 80-degree weather two days and a blustery 45 the final one, so pack accordingly. The beds were comfortable and the dual control electric blankets were a nice touch, everything was immaculately clean and well stocked, the shower was hot with good pressure, and there were games available, a nice firepit to enjoy and even though this is a walkout basement apartment, the owners were quiet but available for any questions or concerns. We had a brief power outage and Dick was careful to explain his concern to turn the generator on as it required access to our room. We appreciated his concern for our privacy. We loved our stay and would gladly come back again! Many thanks to Dick and Joan for being wonderful hosts.

Very nice home tucked in the woods. Quiet, peaceful, perfect accommodations with everything you would want and need. Short distance from all great rock hunting shorelines and we found amazing yooperlites too. Goals were achieved and being able to come back to this gem of a place was

Secluded in Grand Marais

We had a great time in the Grand Marais and Upper Peninsula area. Given our hosts location we were able to cover a lot of territory, from Tequamenon Falls to Munising, with golf at the Newberry Country Club (very nice course). Our only problem was backing out of the host parking area, which emptied into the street quickly and almost blindly. But the residence was very comfortable and clean.

Great landing place!

The Cozy Pine was the perfect launch/landing pad for our busy days exploring nature in Pictured Rocks and on the beach in Grand Marais. There were 4 of us, two adults and two children. Our host was responsive and helpful the small handful of times we reached out, but other than that we enjoyed our privacy. Check in was easy and the property wasn’t hard to find. I rated the location a 5 because it was the perfect distance between all the places we wanted to visit, but you really do need to bring everything you'll need with you, including a full spread of groceries! It comes with the territory and I have no complaints, but it is no exaggeration that this place is remote. I'd stay again :)
