Beautiful and cozy historical house with Alhambra views in Granada / Albayzin

Beautiful and cozy historical house in the heart of Albaycin with private roof terrace and patio. Modern and recently completely renovated but with the rustic, andalusian style kept.
It´s situated a stones throw from the famous view point Mirador de San Nicolas in a quiet street, yet a very central location with restaurants, market, supermarkets and the famous caves with Flamenco shows just nearby. 10 minutes walk to the center of Granada and Calle Elvira with bars and restaurants, shopping, the famous cathedral ... .20 minutes walk to the Alhambra.

House was recently renovated with a rustic, typical andalusian style. The bottom floor has open plan, a charming kitchen with bar and a door to the lovely patio with garden. A cozy living room with a sofa bed for 2 people and a toilet with a lovely shower. Upstairs you find 2 bedrooms, the bigger one has it´s own toilet en suite. The smaller room has a large built in closet, a single bed that is extendable to a double bed and Alhambra views from the window.

The pearls of the house are the private roof terrace with views to the Alhambra, over the charming roof tops of Albayzin and the valley, sun all day as much as the patio with its natural stone wall and a lemon tree.

The house and its location is truly enchanting, fully furnished and equipped and well heated in wintertime. It suits families with children as much as couples or a group of fiends.

GRANADA!

What a lovely city and beautiful place to see the Alhambra and walk the small winding lanes of Albayzin. Check-in was very smooth with Esther's help. She also answered our questions about places nearby to eat and taxi service - though it was also extremely easy to use the very efficient bus service. The space was very clean and quiet, excellent small kitchen well equipped. We wish we had more time in Granada. Enjoy.

Lovely Apartment

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Immaculate and very comfortable, with a beautiful patio and rooftop deck that has a fantastic view of the Alhambra. Elisa was wonderful to meet and very kindly offered advice on nearby restaurants, the grocery, and bus stop location. We would recommend this property and we would stay here again, if in Granada. The Albayzin area is fantastic.

Best Terrace!

Our family loved the space of this Albacin home! We felt we had everything we needed for our stay in Granada and loved the vibes here. The bedrooms are comfortable with AC and beds, the 1.5 bathrooms are awesome, the kitchen has all the necessaries and then some, and a very comfortable living area. The terrace cannot be beat for hanging out, relaxing, working, etc. with the beautiful Alhambra view, the sunsets, the breezes...just spectacular! Now, I will forewarn the following three things, which did not deter us one bit from a 5 star review, but it could trouble some people: One, the shower water is warm at best (fine for the warmer weather). Two, you cannot really drive to the place and the sidewalks/roads are cobble, so rolling suitcases are hard. A taxi or bus can get you fairly close, but you are up in the beautiful Albacin, so if you've bad ankles or lots of luggage, it might not be for you. Three, if you've little kids, know that part of the staircase is open (I would say 4/5 and over would be good, or any good listeners who will hold the rail). Again, our family loved this place!

Magical stay in the Albaicin

The roof-top terrace (with Alhambra view) and internal courtyard were wonderful, as was the air conditioning during the hottest time of the day. Was lucky enough to find street parking the day we moved in and did not move the car until we checked out two days later (the labyrinthine streets that can suddenly narrow to shoulder width or become a flight of stairs is an intimidating area to drive in. A short level walk will bring you to the MIrador de San Nicolas plaza with the best view of the Alhambra. Washing machine was handy as were the clotheslines on the terrace for drying laundry. We felt right at home...

This property exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and right in the heart of Albaicin. We had marvelous views of Alhambra from the roof and were able to walk there easily in the morning. Would recommend 1000%.

Fabulous stay in Albayzin

Fabulous house and location! Highly recommend this as a great location with sunny terrace and lovely patio for breakfast/ lunch. Elisa was a great host and we recommend her choice of the local flamenco performance which was superb! So many beautiful places to explore locally.

Unbeatable location, wonderful hosts

Adrian and Elisa were great to communicate with, and this place was the perfect location for exploring Granada and the Albaicin. Our group of 6 fit comfortably and having dinner on the rooftop terrace with the view of the Alhambra was an all-of-Spain highlight.

Charming stay in historic neighborhood

It's a gift to be able to stay in the Albaicin, just steps away from an incredible lookout with views of the Alhambra. This is an historic home on a cobbled street that's close to nearby markets, cafes and restaurants. The rooftop has the best view! While I would stay here again, some of the furniture felt very worn and could use updating. Bring earplugs as conversations on the street are easily heard inside. Aside from this, I'd recommend to any traveler.

Granada with views of Alhambra

Very quiet and relaxing place to stay in Granada. Short walk to most tourist areas, many restaurants and markets. It is possible to walk to Alhambra, approximately 1.5 miles. There is a bus stop close by you can take or a parking lot you can drive to, but it takes about the same amount of time as if you walk it. The house if very clean and well maintained. Large rooftop terrace with views of Alhambra. Adrian is very nice and replies to messages quickly. He gave us good information about how to get around. If you plan to drive in Granada, make sure you rent a small car. Adrian had access to a small parking lot a half block from the house, but in the old town some of the streets are very narrow and only a small car may fit. We would love to stay at this place again if ever back in Granada.

Great location, view, and lodging

We had an amazing time staying here with our family. It is in an exceptional location if you are looking for an authentic Albaicin scene. From our doorstep we had fun wandering the cobblestone streets of Albaicin, eating at bar kiki and watching guitar players meander through, and going to the local farmers market. There is a sublime view of the Alahambra from the rooftop of this place, and it was an amazing place to have our morning coffee and evening cocktail. The place is very clean, spacious, and well organized with everything we needed. We were very comfortable. We would stay again.

We had a wonderful time at Adrian's property. The location on top of the hill was perfect for us. A short walk downhill to almost everywhere. The view from the deck was great, the kitchen was well stocked and Adrian was immediately available anytime. The walk up the hill was difficult but it was good exercise and there are plenty of taxis available.

Great location, comfortable house

This was a wonderful place for getting a feel of living in the Albaicin. It's close to many restaurants (one with a delightful flamenco show), and just a couple blocks from the popular Alhambra viewpoint (Mirador de San Nicolas). Also close to stops for the minibus that loops through the Albaicin--making it very easy to get to the Alhambra and to downtown (and maybe more important--taking you back up the hill to home after a tiring day!). The house has both a private interior patio and a rooftop terrace (the latter with its own view of the Alhambra). We made use of both. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. We found the house quite comfortable for two couples and a small child. It quickly felt like home. Our thanks to both Adrians (father and son)!

Wonderful property and hosts.

We (4 adults) had a really lovely time staying at this perfectly located property in Albaicin. We made good use of the roof terrace, kitchen facilities when we took a break from our sight seeing. ( Alhambra Palace, Calle Elvira, Sacremonte for the Flamenco shows, beautiful sunsets and atmosphere from the San Nicholas Mirador and Mosque just a minute from the property. Lovely restaurants and local shops. The host Adrian and friend Eliza were just a text, call, WhatsApp away and responded to any queries or questions super quick. Thank you from all of us. 😊

Great house in the middle of everything!

We truly enjoyed our stay in the Albaicin neighborhood of Grenada. Our host, Elisa, was very welcoming and provided us great information from restaurants, to buses, to how best visit the Alhambra. The neighborhood is absolutely delightful. There are hidden shops, restaurants, and cafes all around. We went from restaurant to restaurant enjoying tapas and wine. The home is really cute. It has modern amenities inside an old home. We love the roof-top deck the most. We watched the full moon rise above the Alhambra all among the most picturesque town. We would highly recommend staying here.
