Amazing home in paradise

I had high expectations for this property and my experience exceeded those. The beach just down from the house is absolutely beautiful and it might as well be listed as your own private beach as it is extremely secluded. The house is amazing and well laid out with fantastic views. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing view

We enjoyed our time in the Bahamas, wonderful food, beaches and people! However the property was rough! Hard to swallow paying that much money on a run down house and a rough road on the property. I’ve addressed these concerns with the management but have yet to of heard back from them. Long story short, view is amazing and the beds are comfortable. Pictures of home online are not current.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all Pam, our agent was the best contact person in the world responding within hours of any questions or concerns we had. The place was beautiful and spacious and the maid service was awesome. If I had to say anything, it would be (and I am guessing covid and the island's tourism decline is the reason), the road to the property needs work, and some of the tiles in the pool are starting to come off... all minor to the accommodation and view.

perfect location!

The location of this home on the island was ideal. Super close to Governor's harbor where we made frequent trips to town for shopping and restaurants. Pascals right down the hill with the swim up bar was a perfect compliment to this home. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was a perfect layout for two families. The towels were nice and soft and so were the beds and linens. The living room furniture wasn't the most comfortable but we spent most of our time out by the pool. The kitchen is spacious but not equipped well for cooking. The pans and utensils need some updated. But we made do and did plan on eating out a good bit so it worked for us. Overall we had an amazing time at this home.

Disappointing Experience - Unfriendly Atmosphere and Poor Facilities

I recently stayed at Sky Beach Club for 9 days, paying a substantial amount of $15,000. Unfortunately, my stay was far from satisfactory. The property lacked essential cookware, making it difficult to prepare meals. Moreover, the people on the island, including the restaurant staff, were unfriendly. When we caught our own lobster, we were charged the same price as if we had eaten the ones they provided. The island itself was poorly maintained, with trash and neglect everywhere. I recommend avoiding Eleuthera and instead choosing Spanish Wells for a friendlier and better-maintained island experience. Note: This review is based on my personal experience, and others may have differing opinions.

Beautiful View with problems

The house is very nice and large with breathtaking views. Unfortunately there were numerous maintenance issues. The dishwasher flooded the kitchen and living area (twice) and maintenance didn’t feel it could be repaired and would just recommend it be replaced. After using all the beach towels to mop up the water, there was difficulty getting the washing machine to work. After much trial and error we were finally able to get power to the washing machine. The master bathroom tub also leaked on the floor after using it and maintenance said they thought the pipe underneath had been fixed and advised not to use it anymore. Then we noticed water damage on our things on an entry table and realized the air conditioning unit above it was leaking and was warping the table. We turned off that unit and reported it. The kitchen has new dishes/pots/pans, but several stove burners do not work and there are no oven mitts. Despite all of these issues, we still enjoyed our stay. We just don’t think the property managers have maintained the property well. Also, as noted in the description and from other guests, the road from the house to the beach is treacherous. Another indication of poor maintenance to the property.

2 Family vacation in June 2024

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The accommodations were perfect for our 2 families (8 guests total). The kitchen and living areas had amazing views and the personal pool was used extensively. Each bedroom was spacious with a good amount of closet space and the en-suites were well appointed. We were missing a few items that Mekell took care of immediately; she was very responsive and helpful during our visit. The villa was well stocked with kitchen supplies and towels, but we did have to purchase additional cleaning items (dish soap/pods, laundry pods, toilet paper), our own cooking oils, spices and condiments as well as ice. The grill was charcoal and difficult to light at first. The beach was *stunning* and the food at Pascal’s was quite good (especially the coconut and tempura shrimp). The neighbors were extremely friendly and shared lots of great snorkel spots. The villa was close to town and centrally located on the island so we only had to travel an hour to most activities. Be warned that the driveway is atrocious - both driving and walking is treacherous. There were a few items that needed repair (the main tub leaked so we only used it once and some of the showers were difficult to operate) but the air conditioning worked very well. We lost power briefly a few times, which is expected on the island. Groceries are extremely hard to find (make sure you check expiration dates) and outrageously expensive ($11 for a gallon of milk). We submitted an online order 2 weeks before we arrived and they delivered and stocked the villa but they did struggle to provide some of the items based on the boat deliveries. Some of our highlights were an all day charter where we fed turtles, stingrays and pigs, snorkeled a shipwreck and visited the swings on a sandbar as well as jet skiing on Cocodimama beach. We hope to return some day and would definitely stay in the Villas again.

We did have 2 issues...the internet never worked for us, even after reading-setting and calling for maintenance to help us. Also 2 of 4 of our showers didn't work at all, so we were having to share showers, which was inconvenient. This issue was also reported, but not fixed:( The process of booking and getting into Villa was fast & easy. Hope to go back next year, hopefully showers and internet will be fixed by then!

Eleuthera Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A home with great potential. The home itself was large and provided lots of space for guests. It is great for each bedroom to have a private bath, and internet is reasonable if you need to work a bit while on vacation. The service provided by the rental agency, management, support staff and Sammy the bartender at the pool was fantastic. On the downside, the property itself is in need of maintenance and upkeep. The house private pool is missing many tiles, and the house itself had many small maintenance issues (light bulbs out, switches broken, water pressure issues), which were quickly resolved after we called, but ideally would have been addressed prior to our arrival. In addition the entry road to resort has completely deteriorated and is almost undriveable (looks like a lunar landing), and appears to have had no maintenance since the original construction 10-15 years ago. Overlooking all this, the beach is stunning, and the pool / Pasquals restaurant / Sammy’s drinks are great.
