Unfortunately the room was cold as window left open. The radiator wasnt working but luckily ther was an electric heater which took a littlevtime to fathom out how to work and took a longvtimevto heat room. Bathroom freezing and no hot water for shower or taps. Offered another room to shower but that had the same problem. Has potential if above dealt with. Facilities, fridge and microwave in room , good.

Eventually made it right

My stay was for 14 days to visit family. My first 10 days was a trial. The hallway to my room smelled like death and every day the smell would creep into my room more and more. I brought it to the attention of the front desk several times and was told they would have house keeping put a plug in to help with the smell. It got to where I couldn’t be in my room. I finally was able to work with George who was amazing, he came to room saw the mold and smelled what I was smelling and got me to a new room. Which at first was great until I realized the WiFi was not working. I reached back out to George who put in a request to have it looked at. Unfortunately the staff changes daily so for the next two days I got a cold shoulder from the rest of the staff. They kept telling me there was nothing they could do. I racked up huge charges on my roaming because I had to use my phone. Finally 2 days later George was back and got me into another room and tested it to make sure the WiFi worked. The window rattled constantly but I was not about to switch to a 4th room, so I stuck a towel in the window. 10 days into my 14 day stay they made it right. This was the second time I have stayed here, the first time was good, but this time was absolutely terrible. I don’t think I will stay here again next year.

Clean, courtyard room did not feel safe for a lone traveller. Bed room door opened straight onto outdoor courtyard, which was open to a public road. The lock on the door was not sufficient for an external door.

Nice Little Hotel

When we stayed overnight, the hotel was undergoing renovations in areas, which, without sounding too negative, it does need it from the age of the property, but we can appreciate they are undertaking this while still trying to operate the business. The staff were lovely and helpful throughout. The accomodation is located primarily in a courtyard area, which has a unique feel. We did have to be moved rooms as the new heating in the room we were allocated wasn't working. I did like the first room for the huge amount of space, but the second had a nicer bed and working heating, so it was certainly a well received swap. Even so, the entry walls are stripped of wallpaper, signs of a work in progress, hopefully something that will be sorted before next year. The rooms do have a microwave and fridge, so you do have facilities to cook and store food, which is a rare treat. We had a peaceful night's sleep and an easy checkout, which is always key to a good stay. The hotel location is right in the middle of the Gloucester shopping district, so you do have easy access to eateries and retail. Despite renovations, I would still recommend the place for location, facilities and friendliness.

Property is ok for a short stay. What you should expect from a budget hotel. No heating in communal areas, shower was Luke warm. Poor heating in room but quite spacious and reasonably sized bathroom.

Spacious double room with tea/coffe facilities. At first glance rather nice and adequate. Unfortunately no hot water for wash so resorted to boiling the kettle. One side lamp was not working. Thin walls and a fridge in the room that made very interesting noises throughout the night. Overall, adequate for £90 for a couple.

Great value for money. The hotel is being refurbished. My room was spotless. The mattress is comfy (though the pillows weren’t too comfortable). New TV, a kettle with tea/coffee well laid out. A microwave oven with a few plates to use for good, was a welcome addition. Receptionist George is friendly and welcoming. I am pleasantly surprised.
