Disappointing

One of the worst experience on a family vacation. The staff was rude, parking lot, dining area, trays at the coffee bar, jam smeared on the elevator floor, bed sheets that didn’t fit - it was dirty. They still had food crumbs on the dining tables at 3 pm. The pool was unkept. We lost power, air conditioning and wifi and the staff closed themselves in the office. Was rude when we asked a time frame. We attempted to spend every moment we could afford outside the hotel. We will not be back a best western. I wish we would have taken photos, but were so embarrassed of the conditions. The staff and location need to be visited from upper management.

This was a solid pick as a hotel located close to Douglas and to Saugatuck's shopping and dining. Still had to drive there from the hotel, but only a couple of miles. The double room had two queen beds and a spacious bathroom. Room came with a refrigerator, too, which was nice. The beds were good although not as comfortable as some other's I've slept on in hotels. The property was quiet and there was an indoor pool with a jacuzzi. Did not use those, but walked through the area and it seemed nice. Kind of a non-remarkable property, but you won't be spending much time in the room anyway, so it's good for what you need it to be.

The room was dark and didn't feel clean at all. There were ants in the room on the nightstand. The pool and hot tub looked nasty. Overall didn't have a clean feel to the hotel at all. Towels super cheap quality. The gym was super tiny and only had some hand weights, treadmill and elliptical. I wouldn't stay here again.

The bathroom was dirty and room dusty. Very old looking. Didn’t even eat the free breakfast because half the time they had no food or it was gross. Not impressed. Paid way too much money to stay at this hotel.

Would not stay here again. We waited 10 minutes at the desk ringing the bell before anyone came to help us check in. We came down for breakfast at 8am and whatever was on the hot plates was gone and wasn't refilled the 15 minutes we were there. The lady at the front desk was on a personal call and not attending to guests. We grabbed some coffee and left.

The staff was friendly , the check in and check out was smooth. The free breakfast was adequate. The room was clean and comfortable, the a/c worked well. The entrance light in the room was burned out and the safety chain on the door was broke. The hotel needs an upgrade especially to the carpeting.

Find earwigs in the bathroom. Toilet got backed up. Chlorine smell by the pool was too strong didn’t use for that reason. Continental breakfast was spot on very good assortments to choose from.
