This is a gorgeous lakeshore location with a wide sandy beach. The condo is very comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and great views from the balcony. However, Vacasa is the rental management company and I would never stay at one of their properties again. To start, they sent me direct emails trying to get me to pay them directly even though I knew the balance would be automatically charged by VRBO. They skimped on amenities: there were no beach towels and only four clothes hangers in the master bedroom. Most importantly, my mother accidentally locked herself out of the condo while I was away so I called Vacasa’s customer support number and they were unable to help. They didn’t have any name or phone number for the local property managers! I found a physical office address (not onsite) in one of VRBO’s emails and was able to get help that way, but what if we had an emergency or problem with the units outside of business hours? Vacasa didn’t provide any added benefit and just got in the way. From now on, I’ll only rent through VRBO if there is contact information for the owner or a local property manager.
