Room was sold as a King size bed, actually 2 singles pushed together with the connection so bad unable to lie on it. Room was filthy, excessive dust on dressing table and mirror area. Staff were very friendly but a bit let down with overall stay experience, bed and cleanliness.

We attended a Charity Ball with friends and were delighted to be greeted at reception with complimentary Mulled Wine & Christmas pies. The hotel reminded us of a past grandeur and rare in modern hotels. However at the end of the Ball there was no residents Bar and we were asked to leave one on the Anti-rooms and told there was no place within the hotel we could sit and enjoy with friends after 12.30am

reception staff were exceptional, I only ran into one housekeeper who was quite bubbly. The hotel itself is very nice -- love the tall ceilings and decor! The Champagne Club was very well staffed the one time I went. The hotel itself is in City Centre Glasgow which means there is a lot to do nearby, especially with food and drink options. Critiques included : the squeaky floorboards (multiple areas) in my room, constant Central Station train announcements being heard through my room windows, some strands of dust in my room, and no line control for guests checking into functions at the hotel (cramped walkways at the stairs).
