Lovely but understaffed.

Hotel.was lovely. Room was really nice. Food in the bar was pretty good. However, the bar restaurant was woefully understaffed. 2 people trying to man a busy bar and serve food to a rammed restaurant. Recipe for many unhappy customers. Luckily i think most people understood it wasnt the 2 staff's fault, they were absolutely grafting too. Other than short staffing, really nice place.

Used to be a lovely hotel, first time staying in 6 years and was extremely disappointed. The staff had no customer service skills at all. We were attending a concert and went for food and drinks in the restaurant where there was only 1 member of staff on. The poor girl was harassed. We were given an accessible room that had a very low down bed that was uncomfortable. The room was not cleaned and the towels were not changed at all. We paid £10 per person per day for breakfast which was awful. The coffee was luke warm and the hot breakfast items were cold and in appetising. Will not be returning

Great hotel location for SEC

Another great stay at Village Hotel, Glasgow! Friendly staff throughout the hotel, although check-in lady we spoke was a little abrupt (appreciate we were cheekily asking to get checked in before check-in time), great room, spacious, clean, tidy, right temperature! Didn't hear any noise from the football fans staying the hotel - maybe because their team lost? Have the same hotel booked for another few weeks time

We stayed as we were going to a gig at the hydro. Room was a good size. Bed comfortable. The breakfast was great. Fantastic selection the best part being the yeo valley yogurt.

Ideally located for all the activities we had planned for our weekend in Glasgow. Bus stops literally outside the door meant we could get anywhere we wanted without much issue or waiting around. Breakfasts were good value and downloading the Village Hotel app saved us 25% on dinner on the first night we arrived.. would definitely stop there again!

Dirty shower and room

Had to be moved room as the shower tray looked like it hadn’t seen hot clean water for some considerable time. The room we got moved to had old sweets and sweets wrappers under the bed that is actually on castors so it can be moved easily. I’ve stayed in Village hotels up and down the country for work and this is by far the worst for level of cleanliness
