When I booked this hotel I was aware that renovations were taking place, but the management assured me they would be finished by the time we arrived, given there was a month in between. When we arrived the front of the hotel was like a building site with rubble, rubbish and plasterboard all over the front and a workman cementing the stairs. In the main foyer there were polythene sheets all around so it was pretty disappointing. The first room we were shown to was mouldy and smelled of damp and stale cigarette smoke, plus the carpet in the hall leading to it was absolutely disgusting. I asked for another room, and was given one that at least was dry and smelled ok, but there some pretty interesting stains on the bed valance, but the bed itself was clean. There was a window into an outside area at the back, which was more or less a rubbish tip. The breakfast was nothing special, with cheapest 'lips and arse' sausages I have ever tasted and everything lukewarm.
I wouldn't put my enemies' dog up in this place. An absolute hovel.
