Wonderful Stay

Accommodations and location to beach and pool excellent. One in the party had some difficulty with so many steps to unit from the parking area. Exit on the ocean side was a good adjustment. All had a grand time.

Peace Vacations was excellent and easy to work with. They have thought of and covered every need in advance in a thoughtful and thorough manner. Our only issue was the AC in the “bunk bedroom “ didn't cool down as well as the rest of the villa.

Nice condo with a great view!

Ocean Eyes is very clean and appears to be recently updated. Comfortable furniture and beds. Two king size beds and two sets of bunk beds. TV's in all three bedrooms. The view is great of the ocean from the family room and patio. It's a very short walk to the beach. The pool area was nice. The kitchen is very small. But it worked out for me and my daughter since we didn't cook much while there. Not much room for two people cooking though. If the kitten had been bigger I would have given it an excellent rating. I would stay at Ocean Eyes again for sure!

Great condo

Third time renting this condo. Disappointed after putting my deposit Down I found out in January that new owner went up $900, with very few changes. Also major changes in DEBORDIEU : To use any restaurant, bar or blue Heron Deck, there is a $200.00 daily fee. I owned property at DEBORDIEU for 30 years and there was never any fees like this for renters to use all the facilities.

We kept getting locked out of the unit because the codes were not working do we had to keep the unit unlocked when we left. The Heat stopped working after the first day but was fixed 2 days later. George was Great and brought us some portable heaters which really helped but was an inconvenience.

We enjoyed Ocean Eyes very much!

We have been coming to DeB for over 30 years and stayed in many places. This is a very good rental! The two things that could make it excellent are the air conditioning in the bunk bed room. We turned the air down but the people staying there had trouble sleeping at night. We just could not get it cool. Also, we could not enjoy the patio due to the terrible mosquitos. I've never seen them as bad as they were this year and they would literally land on the glass doors looking at us just waiting to come inside. We wondered if the community has stopped spraying for mosquitos? They did seem to improve a little towards the end of our stay. The positives are that the two king bedrooms are fantastic. Love the storage for unpacking. The kitchen is very well stocked with good equipment for cooking and baking. The decor is well done and inviting with a very comfortable Living Area. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful Beach location

The view from this property is amazing but it could use a little TLC. The door lock to enter the unit is temper-mental, the front lamppost is broken and attached with duck tape that is falling off, there is no hose to rinse off your feet when you come back from the beach, just a spout, the cleanliness was OK, there are stains on the rug and the pillows are uncomfortable. One of the comforters had a large blood stain on it at the top which required us washing the comforter so it could be used. The bottom drawer of the stove is broken, and some of the closets are stuck or unable to open all the way. There are dead starfish on the stair landing which smelled. Some of the exterior wood has been replaced and needs paint. Nothing unbearable, but for the price there should be fewer issues.

Seaclusion was beautiful and of all the villas in Pioneer Place that we have stayed in the last 27 years, it was our favorite! It was very tastefully decorated and had much appreciated views of the beach! Only thing missing: placemats. One negative comment about Debordieu: it's a shame they no longer allow people to visit the bar or beach cafe without paying a $200 daily service charge. Very unwelcoming! Also, is it really necessary to lock the pool? Are there a lot of pool hoppers slipping in? It gives the feeling of high security which doesn't add to a relaxing ambience.

Not Worth Top Dollar

The owner has done an admirable job in stocking amenities in the kitchen, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, etc. As well as, bedding, pillows and blankets and furnished appropriately for a vacation rental. It was great to have three bedrooms with three full baths. The disappointing part was the unit could have been cleaner. And the entrance was less than inviting, dirty and in need of repair. When we arrived there was a crane over the entrance to the roof and we had to unload the car with that. We were not made aware they were replacing the roof during our stay. The complete condo complex is very dated.
