Check-in with Wawan was excellent and very welcoming. Our room (512) was spacious and had access to a balcony. While both the room and the hotel overall could benefit from an upgrade, everything was clean and well maintained. In-room amenities were fairly minimal, and complimentary bottled water was quite limited. We tried the weekend dinner buffet, which was okay, and the breakfast buffet offered a great variety of choices. However, breakfast was very busy on the weekend and difficult to navigate—I’d recommend going early to avoid the crowds. On one morning when we had an early tour, the hotel thoughtfully provided us with a boxed breakfast, which we appreciated. The gym was dated but sufficient for a basic workout. The spa was also older, though the service itself was good. Food options within the hotel were somewhat limited, but the Chinese restaurant was excellent and definitely a highlight. The hotel’s location was also very convenient, with Malioboro Street within easy walking distance.

The property was fine and the gardens are lovely but I had 2 of the water bottles in my room during my 3 night stay had broken seals so may have been refilled. Also, I would not recommend the weekend BBQ dinner. Despite having a reservation that I confirmed twice there was no table for me. The food was very bland and much better food exists outside of the hotel.

The street noise never stops, dont pay extra for a balcony on street side, i was there for 5 nights and they gave the street side and a street musician with amplifier playes the same song from 0730 to midnight 7 days a week , he has a crew of panhandlers shift through the traffic at the light immediately in front the hotel begging for money the hotel will do squat about it do not stay in this hotel.. its literally one guy with an electric guitar and amplifiers playing the same song over and over it wont matter how many times you complain the hotel will do nothing untill you ask for another room but you wont get a balcony you paid for .. easier just to not stay here

The hotel is well located within a short walking distance to Malioboro Road. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool-side BBQ dinner spread was disappointing but the hotel breakfast selection was excellent.
