The room was immaculate, small (and the bathroom tiny), and very charming (and the shower excellent). We quite enjoyed our stay. A strength are the common areas. We lingered quite some time in front of the fire in the lobby and then on the second floor overlooking the lobby or on the porch watching the sky turn color. We really liked that the bar (and restaurant) were attached. We last stayed here in 1992. We enjoyed it then and enjoyed it in 2025.

Unique, historic hotel with wonderful memorabilia & furnishings. Enjoyed old era movie star theme rooms & furnishings. Hand painted wall murals every hallway lovely. Myself and my guests had three rooms. It seems the rest of the hotel was taken over by several tour groups. So the restaurant staff was overwhelmed come breakfast time. We ended up staying in the motel part and the rooms were charming and quiet and the beds were very, very comfortable. I would totally stay here again. It’s charming.

Dinner was average. Shower drainage was a problem in our room that was corrected by changing rooms. Cleaning staff were superb. Bathrooms are especially small, with no lids on the toilets.

We had an excellent dinner in the bar. The bar was full but the bartender ran around keeping everyone happy….he was great!! Looking forward to our next stay there.
