The park is amazing. The views are incredible. The trails are engaging. The room was great. The grits were cold (I think it was the plate i put them on.). We called ahead to see if dinner would be served on Christmas day. He said it would be served from 5-8 pm. They actually closed at 5pm, very disappointing not to have supper. Our previous visit was excellent.

Thanks so much for visiting our park and lodge and for staying with us. I'm so sorry about the restaurant being closed during your stay. Occasionally we have to make the decision to close our food and beverage outlets early if there isn't enough business to support having them open. It is a decision we always weigh carefully, as inconveniencing even one guest is certainly not something that we take lightly. Typically a holiday is when this might occur which is when you were with us on this visit. I hope you will consider returning and staying with us again in the future. If you do, please call us, and reference this issue with the restaurant that you had during this recent stay, and we will do our best to upgrade your room at no additional charge. Thank you again for staying with us!

We stayed one night here. We stayed on 4 th floor witch is the top floor. The room was very nice and had beautiful scenery looking out into the mountains. We ate at the restaurant they have there food was good. There happen to be a family there that clearly let there kids run around the halls. That was a little disappointing because we couldn't sleep with all the noise. And the tv lost wifi so if you wanted to watch any tv you couldn't. There is a lot to do as far as nature and things to do outside. Over all for how much we paid for a night was over priced. If it was 100.00 less a night then what we paid yes I would stay again.

Thanks so much for visiting our park and lodge. I wanted to apologize to you for the issues that you experienced with noise and with the wi-fi. I wish our staff had been able to rectify these items immediately. I also understand your concerns with rate. October weekends are the highest demand days at this property during the entire year due to the beautiful weather and beautiful Fall color on the trees in the North Georgia Mountains. Please consider a return trip on a Spring or Summer weekend. The rates are lower during these times, and it is still a beautiful place to be for a weekend getaway.

Great Place!

Pros: Everything. Roadways are good into and out of the facility, but the climb is pretty steep. Bad weather could be a dangerous commute.
Cons: We were only there for a day, but I saw nothing that needed attention. Would like to go back for an extended stay at some point.
Location: Dahlonega, GA......18 miles or so from the Lodge. Great for those who love Christmas settings. Live plays....great food.
I have stayed in several park facilities over the past few years. This was by far the nicest. It was on the order of a chain hotel rather than what I had come to call the park experience. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast buffet was very nice.
