Life at the Lake is Great!

We loved our stay there, the view was amazing, eating & setting on back porch with the lake view was great , fires in pit with smores, grilling, & fishing with family was all great! Very clean & had everything we needed!

25th anniversary trip

The house was great. The road leading to the house is mediocre. We understand why the gravel is safer, cheaper, etc but long 6 minutes to drive. Also, not much to do nearby. Loved the privacy and fishing but wished there was more activity nearby. Overall, average vacation but property/home were above average in every way! Thanks for sharing this out of the way getaway!!!

Disappointing House

PROS... The property owners were great. They quickly responded to any questions we had. The AC cools really well, which was needed as temps were in 90s during our stay. The water was nice and hot. The king bed a pleasant surprise and the master bath has a large spa tub. CONS... No wifi. You need a mobile hotspot which I do not have access to. The jets on the spa tub do not work. After a long day, I was looking forward to a relaxing spa bath. The Keurig coffee maker was so dirty on the outside and had dried coffee in the overflow trough. The silverware drawer is dirty. I washed everything before using. Before I could make coffee, I had to clean the pot. There also were a lot of cobwebs in the corners of rooms and one end table had a large cobweb hanging from it. OVERALL... The house looks nothing like the pictures. It looks like it may be in the middle of a remodel. It could be a great property with a some tender loving care. We were disappointed in t

The Perfect family get away

So glad we chose this property! It was a good size house and lovely view. There was everything you need including dishes, towels, washer and dryer, etc. I thought the view was just breathtaking. We fished and swam off the dock. Very quiet and peaceful place. Great communication with the owner. I absolutely highly recommend!!

i really enjoyed the place will come back the only back thing i could come up with i wish the fishing would have been better . but that is mother natures plans no control over that . you take what the weather gives you but over all it was just great will choose dates closer to spawning season next year thank you very enjoyable.

Nice place to wind down and relax.

Stayed here for a fishing weekend The water was a little too low to use the boat ramp at this time but there is a launch 5 minutes away. House was clean and comfortable beds. Great view from the back porch. Will stay here again .

Perfect, except…

We rented this home for Christmas week 23. It’s 48 minutes to Gadsden AL, and 49 to Cedartown GA. My blind mother and blind aunt came to stay with us, only issue we had was the 3 of 4 sets of stairs were incredibly dangerous, unusable, for handicapped and kids. Otherwise best VBRO we have stayed at to date, we travel a lot, so we pack everything, this home needed nothing!! Well stocked, great fishing, comfortable. My mother talks incessantly, it makes me nervous, so I decided to clean the trim and door frames, I was astonished how nothing was really dirty, no dust, dawn and elbow grease, and cloth was never dirty. There was a plumbing issue, no one’s fault, and the homeowners were on it immediately. No WiFi, and no service, so memorize the roads, it pretty far to civilization, with spotty cell service. We don’t usually visit the same area more than once, but if we did, we would definitely stay here again, very open, plenty of space, plenty of parking, bring DVDs, direct TV is in the house, but it’s all commercials. We all had different carriers, no one could send pics, text, stream, anything, I recommend definitely binging DVDs.

Great Vacation Place!!

Gracious and very helpful hosts!!! Beautifully decorated, kitchen has all that you need to cook every meal. Quiet and peaceful place to rest and renew. DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon are close by. A great place for a family. It was very clean as well!!!!

Beautiful Lake View

This lake house was very clean and well stocked with more than enough of everything we needed. The view of the lake is beautiful. The water pressure is great and water heats up quickly. People in this area are very friendly!

This was our first experience with a VRBO property stay. We were not disappointed. The owners were extremely helpful and always quick to respond when I asked a question!! This home was extremely clean which a big deal to me and my family. It was one of the best vacations we have ever been on. Already planning on a return trip next year!!!

55th Anniversary Stay

C!ean property, well-stocked, quiet neighborhood! Wasn't too bad walking to or from the dock, which was for us 70 year olds. Only bad thing was the fish didn't want to bite. Will return in the future.
