Another lovely stay at Murteirus Apartment

This is our second stay at Murteirus apartment and won't be our last. Good communication with Nuno the owner. The apartment is emaculately clean, well furnished and comfortable. Quality towels are provided, which in my experience, is not always the case in holiday rentals. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering with quality appliances, though we tend to eat out. The highlight has to be the magnificent views over Funchal from the lounge, double bedroom and the balcony. The walk to/from town is challenging as all of Madeira is. However there is a good bus service at the end of the road and the 7day Giro bus ticket is excellent value at €22. This can be used limitless on the orange buses within the Funchal area including Monte. We averaged less than €1 per trip. Well worth it for the amazing views from the apartment balcony alone which is a treat to sit in over breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. Be aware that the times on the sign at the bus stop is the time the bus leaves the town centre.
