Lovely and large vacation home in the quaint fishing village of Lild Strand, where coastal fishing has been practiced for generations. The pool and the kitchen are heated by a heat pump, which saves heating costs. The pool invites you to be active, afterwards the whirlpool and sauna entice you with pure relaxation. The sunny courtyard in front of the door is simply wonderful on warm summer days. The cottage is centrally located, 150 m from the North Sea, 50 m from the church and the old lifeboat station and 100 m from the place where the fishing boats are pulled ashore in the evening and you can buy fresh fish. The beach at Lild is known for its rich fish stock and depending on the season flatfish or cod are caught. The wide sandy beach at Bulbjerg is a bathing beach to recommend. Here is also the 47 m high limestone cliff Bulbjerg, the only bird cliff in Denmark, where rare species of birds nest and gives the visitor a breathtaking view. Here, in clear weather, you can see as far as Vigsø Bay and Hanstholm in the west, and all along Jammer Bay to Rubjerg Knude in the east. At the foot of the slope you can find fossilized sea urchins and other fossils. Lild Strand borders the largest nature reserve in Denmark, a vast heather-covered dune area with brackish lakes, bog heaths and forests, all offering unique nature experiences. Not far away is also Vejlerne, a bird sanctuary of about 6000 hectares, where you can observe from many vantage points the rich bird population on the dammed area. Do not forget binoculars.
