The 4 Seas Cottage at 49 Cottage Row is a lovely, four bedroom 2100 sq ft., beach cottage. It is located in the private gated community of Beach Retreat in beautiful Miramar Beach on Scenic Gulf Drive. Just steps to the crystal sands of the Gulf, it is ideally located for restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Built in 2000, we have professionally decorated this house with our enjoyment and yours in mind. The furniture, appliances and the flat paneled TVs in the living room and bedrooms are all new.

Your options are endless. Spend your days on the infamous sugar sand beaches just 3/4 block away. We'll provide beach service ( two beach chairs and an umbrella ) during your stay ( March 1 through October )


4 Seas Cottage: On the first floor you will find 3 spacious bedrooms: king-size second master with bath, a queen with shared bath, and a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds plus a trundle, as well as a laundry with High Efficiency size washer/dryer and ironing board/iron are available.

On the second floor (main level) is the main master bedroom, a king-size room with bath that features a jetted tub and separate shower. The living room, a half bath and kitchen/dining room complete the second floor.

The living area is open and spacious, easily accommodating your family and friends. There is a 65 inch TV with DVD player and high speed wireless Internet throughout the cottage.

Your options are endless. Spend your days on the infamous sugar sand beaches just 50 yards away. We'll provide beach service (two beach chairs and an umbrella) during your stay (March 1 through October), you can take a dip in the 3,000 square foot, heated (Community pool is heated for Thanksgiving week, Christmas week and for Spring Break) pool with a hot tub attached, or workout in the private fitness center.

Things to Do in Destin!: What to do besides enjoy our wonderful beach...

Should you wish to explore what the local area has to offer, you'll find an abundance of choices. Sidewalks line scenic 98 for walking, running or bike riding. We are a short 2 mile drive to the Silver Sands mall to the West, or luxury shopping at Destin Commons to the East. Kenny D's, The Crab Trap, and Pompano Joe's are all within walking distance to Cayenne Cottage. We encourage you to leave menus of your favorite restaurants when you come.

For evening entertainment, Destin is known for some wonderfully upscale eateries, as well as your regular fare. Friendly night life and nearby state of the art movie theater.

More to see and do!: The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a vacation in it’s own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores, including, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Lenox, Nike and Reebok - just to name a few. When you need to pause for nourishment choose from Panera Bread, Cheeseburger in Paradise or Carrabba's Italian Grill.

More great shopping can be found at the Destin Commons outdoor mall. Enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few. Stop for a bite to eat at the Hard Rock Café, Panera Bread, Tony’s Ristorante or Sushi Siam. More than just shopping the Destin Commons Center Plaza offers a soft-play kids playground and a 49-head pop fountain. Perfect Getaway

Proximity to beach is incredible and the pool and hot tub were awesome. Teenagers went from beach to pool to house, whatever they were in the mood for. House was plenty spacious. Mattresses need replacing and that’s my only complaint.

Perfect Location

Property was located close to private beach entrance. Beach was clean, water was clear, umbrella and seats were provided. Pool was also available. Never crowded. House located in gated area. 10-15 mins from anywhere. Tons of great restaurants and entertainment. House was very clean and Kathy communicated very well and fast. Had a great family vacation and would definitely be back.

Nice rental for family vacation

We've been coming to the Destin area for our spring break family vacation for 7 years, and we like being in Miramar Beach the most. This rental house was nice in accommodating our family (6 adults and two children under 10). We had good bedrooms (although the first floor adult beds need new mattresses) and ample space for our group. It was unusual to have the living room and kitchen on the second floor, but no problem adjusting to that. The second floor deck provided a nice sitting area, especially in the evening. The house was well equipped and reasonably comfortable, and was very conveniently located to the beach and pool. Our main issues were cleanliness (there was sand in our sheets and under the dining table) and the first floor beds need new mattresses (they tend to sink you inward). That said, we enjoyed our stay overall.

Perfect Sept Stay

Great place to spend some quiet time at the beach with a family or even a few families. Great location a short walk to the beach and very good sized pool. The layout was a bit different than most, with the kitchen and living room on the top floor but ended up loving it. Check in and out was super easy and the house was very clean. Will definitely stay again!

Great Location

I love the location of this house! It is an easy walk to the beach, but you maintain your privacy in the gated community. The grounds are exceptionally maintained and the house was very clean. It had a good selection of cooking utensils/pots and pans.

Family Christmas in Miramar Beach

Ready to go back!

We were in town to celebrate a family member's accomplishments. The first day was warm enough to go to the beach, but the rest of the time we visited attractions in and near the Destin area. Throughout our trip, our best connections happened when we returned to the house. We found absolutely everything we needed there, and we enjoyed every minute of our time. We are ready to return to Florida, and we definitely want to be back to this home!

Great Value

This cottage is a wonderful place to house multiple people and be close to everything. The walk to the beach is literally 2 minutes. The drive to Whole foods was about 5-10 min and to Publix was about 10-15. There is at least one restaurant within walking distance, and our older teens enjoyed walking the couple of miles to the local Coffee shop in the mornings. The younger teens appreciated the local arcades, and things to do. We had a day of poor weather and the unit is loaded with games and puzzles thanks to the host. The main reason we rented the home was because of the bunk room where all 5 teen girls could room together - which would use the pull-out trundle in that room. However, it really would be better for smaller children. The beds were fine, but no extra room for their stuff. So some overflowed to the queen-sized room and it all worked out just fine. Luckily that room didn't have an occupant. All of the beds & pillows in all rooms were comfortable. The kitchen is amply stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. A nice refrigerator that has ice/water that actually tastes good. We never needed to buy toilet paper as their "get you started" amount was plenty for 5 days / 9 people. Same for paper towel. Bring trash bags, dish soap, and laundry soap (if you do laundry on vacation). They have full-sized washer/dryer in this unit! The small neighborhood is nice and quiet. Can't quite hear the ocean, and no view except of the small courtyard. The work out room is a little lacking & in need of repair or upgrades (not the fault of the host though, and only mentioning it in case the reader is an avid gym rat). Overall, when you put location + amenities + beach access + great price, it is one of the nicest places we have stayed over the 10 years we have been coming to the gulf. Ms. Kathy truly takes care of the property well and actually cares that you have a great time and enjoy yourselves. It was a pleasure working with her.

Our first Destin trip

Our family really enjoyed our first trip to Destin. The booking process was easy. And the property manager was very helpful. The house was very nice and just fit our crew. One thing that could be improved is the cookware. Very old and really needs updating.

Great Vacation

We had a great vacation! The house was wonderful and fit our group beautifully. A very short walk to the beach where you have an umbrella and chair set and it was easy to purchase an extra set for our group. The only issue we had all week was with the grilling situation. I didn’t realize when planning our menu that the grill was a shared community grill. So one night we went to make dinner and the grills were all being used and we had to shuffle our menu around. But other then that, everything went smoothly and we had a blast.

The unit was nearly perfect except that the pictures don't show that this unit is in desperate need of an interior paint job. You can't continuously just spot paint scratches and expect it to match. Otherwise a very good unit and we love the location and security. Could use an interior locking deadbolt for the front door for added security though

Amazing Trip

My family stayed at the 4 Seas Cottage, and we LOVED it!! We would enjoy our morning coffee on the balcony, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the house was very clean. The owners were very easy and flexible to work with, and made our stay wonderful. We will be back next year!!
