not a 4 Star hotel maybe a 3 Star room. No lobby

The resort is terrific, but the room was just ok. Not a 4 Star hotel room as stated in the vacation package. The price was high for the room. I have stayed in many 2-1/2 Star hotels that were far nicer. If we had not been able to spend most our time at another property on the resort I would have been thoroughly disappointed. The pool at the townhomes/condominiums was ok but not great. The flight in the package did not include any baggage. Overall I feel I could have got a better deal booking a room, car, and plane separately and had better travel times.

Would not repeat...

Shower would not drain and the air conditioner sounded like a freight train when it kicked on. Also unable to control room temperature with controls. Room was stifling when we arrived. Very disappointed.

Last minute trip.

Pros: View of the Bay, immaculate grounds.
Cons: There was only 1 cafe located at the facility that was open for breakfast & lunch. I would have liked to have the hours extended to include dinner.
Location: the beach was a 25 minute walk from the site. Also a shopping center, theater & outlet stores were nearby.
Five days before a scheduled vacation, I made a list minute decision to go to Florida. I was concerned I wouldn't find a place to stay in during spring break and was surprised to find a combination hotel & air deal at Travelocity in the Pensacola area. The Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort has many properties available. I stayed at the Bayside facility with a very nice room facing the Bay. The microwave & refrigerator made it convenient for snacks & beverages. There was a pool, fitness center & spa services available. A regularly scheduled tram makes it easy to get around the expansive & immaculate grounds. Staff were friendly & helpful. The Events & Meetings Manager, Luis gave me a ride on a rainy night when the tram was delayed. I would definitely recommend this facility & hope to return in the future.

Pros: Nothing in particular.
Cons: House cleaning services.
Location: Bayshore building.
Stood in line 45 minutes to get to check in. Could not get fresh towels one day. No room cleaning service except towel service and emptying of garbage was included. Would expect more for $250 per night. Bathroom floor was sticky especially around the toilet and you know what that meant.

Not a good place to stay for vacation.

We arrived at 3pm after driving for over 10 hours. We checked in (check in took about 45 minutes). We were sent to the hotel building without a room number because the manager advised us that check in was at 4pm and she couldn't tell us the room number because the room was not ready. We were waiting outside the building in the sun with our bags exhausted, tired, sleepy, and overwhelmed. Well past 4:15pm I called again To the front desk to ask about our room and they said it wasn't ready. I then drove all the way back to the front desk (probably a mile away) and asked if I could just get another room that was ready. The manager being rude issued us another room with absolutely no apologies or accommodations. As if it was my fault that the room wasn't ready. Also the hot water was not working during our stay, and we were told different things about event times and locations within the hotel. It seemed like they just wanted to rush us through like cattle.

Pros: The amenities such as the tram, the restaurants and the beach access.
Cons: Put up closet doors. They need to get the cable box fastened down and not having it hanging on the side of the armoire/dresser drawer.
Location: Lots of new outdoor shopping malls.
Very nice experience. The resort staff were very nice and well educated on the resort and the community. They new what events were going on in the community, best times to travel and a host of other inside resort information. We had an issue with not enough power sources(outlets) for our tech devices and engineering kindly brought us promptly a surge protector for our devices.

Nice Hotel near the beach

Pros: pet freindly, clean , staff, and guest friendly. family oriented.
Cons: nothing
Location: location is great. everything in walking distance. nearby outlets.
It was our first time in Destin, Fl. We went for the weekend. It was a last minute reservation and i was pleasantly surprise they were able to accommodate us. We had made reservations with a hotel prior to getting there and it was not what we expected just say we checked in and out at the same time. That's when i made reservation with sandestin golf resort location is great. i was amazed that we got a room during spring break at the last minute i would recommend to family and friends. We will be back soon.

We did not receive what was expected or promised.

Our ocean view room was a nice view of the parking lot. The buses and trains that were supposed to take us around the resort and to a few places near by stopped running the day after we got there. Seriously? This should have been on the website. We had to spend an extra 150.00 on a rental car. The lovely people at the rental agency were nicer and more accommodating than the hotel staff. We tried to ask staff where we should eat or shop or visit, as we have never been there. We were looking for personal recommendations and were instead pointed to a magazine rack. If I wanted to read paid for ads, I would have done that in the first place. We were treated like second class citizens by the resort the entire time we were there because we were just renting and not one of their owners. Their web site provides false advertising and the price to stay at a resort rather than just a hotel with less amenities was absolutely NOT worth it. The saving grace of our vacation was the beautiful beaches, fresh seafood and friendly locals we met while we there. Also, the spa at the Hilton on Miramar beach is very worth it. A total head to toe pampering experience.
