The woman who arrived before me had a reservation, and was attempting to pay in Cash. The desk attendant didn't have access to enough change in his drawer, and because of that he ended up refusing her reservation (instead of trying to find a way to make it right.) So, the fact that their screw-up cascaded down to the customer in a negative way for the customer - that I didn't like. Also, I was expecting the place to be much more clean, nature friendly than it was. It was NOT on the river, and the cost of the room was higher than some of the other actual 'hotels' nearby. This was a MOTEL, with public, external walkways open to the outside providing access to the rooms. I would have paid $65-80 for the 'motel experience,' and I think I paid $140. Super overpriced and not advertised correctly. It was one of my greater disappointments in an overnight stay, in some time.

Hot tub jets weren’t working and the water was dirty. The smell left in our suits was disgusting. The pool paint was peeling and needs resurfacing. Breakfast was good, but the yogurt ran out and it took awhile to fill, by that time my friend was done eating. The beds were comfortable.

The hotel owner owns the restaurant Nextdoor. Hope to have a good breakfast. Small toilet and no luggage rack. They do not clean behind furniture. We dropped something back in the gap dust bunnies.
