Private Garden Home near beach&downtown Ft.Bragg-quiet & nice!

This cozy house was just built on 3-acres. This property has all modern appliances & everything you will need for cooking. There is a covered front porch that overlooks a garden & has a barbecue for a relaxing meal. The back of the property has a fire pit & table for roasting marshmallows. Two walking blocks away is the Botanical Gardens where you will experience vast gardens and spectacular views, and maybe see a pod of whales. The house has a private driveway and a code to get in.

The house is built on a 3-acre property. The front porch is covered, giving you a wonderful spot to drink coffee and watch the sunrise. The back of home has a fire pit, which is a wonderful place to roast marshmallows or to socialize around the fire. There is a playhouse for the children to enjoy and a beautiful garden to explore. Botanical Gardens and the ocean are two walking blocks away. The gardens are spectacular when wildflowers or dahlias are blossoming. Enjoy dramatic views of the ocean as you walk on the bluffs. You might even see a pod of whales or seals resting on the rocks. The house has a private driveway and a code to get in, so it is completely private. The trundle bed has two separate single beds, and the house is equipped with all the essentials.

There is a fenced in yard, however, all pets need to stay on a leash except for when in the fenced in area. Please be aware that there are cats that roam the property who we love dearly! All dogs need to be friendly, trained to use the bathroom outdoors, and not chew or damage any property. All waste needs to be disposed of in the reciprocals located out the back door.

I am pleased that we found this when we made a last-minute cancellation on our campsite reservations at MacKerricher State Park due to predicted rain two of the three days we had planned to camp. Several of the prior reviews had good additional information: the gas fireplace worked well to heat the unit, but it is not on a thermostat so we have to turn it on and off as needed. We brought our own coffee and dripper and carafe, which I am happy to use (instead of having Keurig pods). It was very clean. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. It was a big plus to be able to stay there with our dog.There was a small fenced yard for the dog, which we used only a little because of the rain and the tall grass, the covered porch/deck was appreciated, since having shelter at the front door is welcome in the rain. and the whole stay felt very private and quiet.

Perfect little getaway with my husband and dogs. Great enclosed area that was quite and large enough for the dogs to get some energy out. Location was great with being so close to hiking trails, botanical garden, and the downtown area. Definitely will rebook this place.

Cottage was very clean. Lots of light and door screens for fresh air. Kitchen was great for cooking meals (no dishwasher though and bar stool setting). We slept well with the blackout curtains. The fenced yard was ideal for our dog to sniff.

This house was super cute and cozy. Overall I’d likely stay again.Things that would have made it a 5/5:- the mattress is quite soft. I know that can be a preference thing but after hiking it was a drag. - the bedding could afford an upgrade. Because they have fireplaces to heat, the temp swings warm then cold and so if you warm it up before bed and then get in those sheets you’ll wake up hot. Breathable sheets and more layers (v a duvet and sheets) would make a big difference! - no coffee maker. Having to go out (and open/close the gate both ways) for a cup of coffee each morning was a bummer.With upgraded bedding and a coffee maker it’d be a 5/5.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We come to fort Bragg every year for our anniversary and this was the first time we stayed at a VRBO. We stayed with our 6 month old baby and the place was extremely clean upon check in. The property was quiet and private with a large fenced yard for our dogs, very relaxing for the entire family.

A quiet, convenient location. Beautiful flowers, fruit trees, vegetables and herbs the host shared with us. Host was readily available and very accommodating if needed. I’d stay here again for sure!

Tucked away amongst a lovely garden. This was the perfect getaway for me and my dog. The secure fencing meant he could safely roam under my watchful eye. The home is so cozy with plenty of space. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Except an auto coffe maker, French press only, it was fine for 2 mornings. I will bring a family member back here as 2 adults will be completely comfy here. It would be a great place for a young family complete with playhouse in the garden.

Lovely and convenient rural home

The house was easy and fast to get to with their very clear instructions, is in a lovely and quiet garden setting, and the color coordinated artwork in each room was beautiful. The large gas barbecue worked well and we had a nice dinner on the porch. All of the facilities worked well. Unfortunately, for us, we both need firmer beds, but if you like a very soft bed, then I would highly recommend staying here.

Fort Bragg getaway

Property was awesome. Perfect location for visiting Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Appreciated the fenced in area for my dog and the fact there was a gate to go in and out. The only negative was the poor internet service, but I noticed it was like that pretty much everywhere in the proximity of Fort Bragg.

We are so lucky this place was available. The house is exactly as pictured and was very clean. The plantings are in full bloom and lovely. We had our dog and the fenced yard was really nice. Cute, quiet little spot

This cute, quiet little spot makes a terrific home base for hanging out in and around Fort Bragg. It isn't close enough to walk or ride bikes downtown or to the beach, but that is about the only thing that I would improve. The property itself was terrific.
