Very comfortable apartment in a neighborhood south of Florence. Newly renovated and lots of high-tech touches like electronic kitchen appliances, electronic shutters, on-demand hot water that never ran out, brand new air conditioning in each room, there is a clothes washer on one of the balconies and a drying rack too.The neighborhood is apartment-living residential and friendly. There are a couple mini-restaurants and a mini-Co-op grocery store within a five minute walk.We were able to make it into Florence many times via the city bus system and taxis. It's a bit far to walk into the city, especially with the construction of the tram system which will bring the tram all the way to the neighborhood when complete later next year We planned 45 mins to get to the train station by bus and 30 mins by taxi.Michelle, the host, spoke English very well and was helpful and a pleasure to work with--ask her for a list of nearby facilities you can use and restaurants you can eat in.
