This well appointed apartment has everything that you could possibly need for either a short stay or like us a stay of over two months. It is centrally located and is exactly as described. Massimo couldn’t be any more delightful and it was a pleasure staying in his condo. Part of the reason that we had such a lovely time is because of this condo.

Wonderful stay in a lovely apartment

We spent a week in this apartment - and would happily have stayed longer. It is beautifully furnished with a balcony and blind - perfect for sitting out in the evening sunshine. Massimo was a perfect host - he met us on arrival, check in was simple, everything was clean. It is a short walk of around 20 minutes to the very centre of town/Duomo. We would stay again if we return to Florence. Richard and Angela

Florence experienced very high temp. up to 40 C. and that meant a long walk in heat to the tram. going to the train station and the old Florence. You have to walk in Florence. The apartment was nice, well decorated and comfortable. It served our purpose well and there was a supermarket near by. but not much else.

Wonderful accommodations

Staying at Massimo’s apartment really contributed to our enjoyment of Florence. It is a short walk to the center of the city, away from the bustling crowds. The apartment is beautifully appointed, with interesting books and art; so very Florentine. The bed was deliciously comfortable. Massimo is a wealth of helpful information about where to go and what to do in Florence He is a helpful and gracious host.

Lovely stay..

My husband and I enjoyed our stay.. It was close to the city center - about 1mile away, we love walking, and it was nice to stay in a local neighborhood but close enough to great shops and restaurants and all the sites in Florence. Our host was lovely, he was very helpful friendly - we were able to park our rental car in secured parking garage a well. The apartment was a very clean with a nice balcony ;)

Not what we thought we were getting!

This rental is NOT in Centro Storico as advertised. It is too far to walk from the train station and even a walk to Centro is at least 25 minutes. There is some bus transportation but our host knew nothing about it and simply suggested that we walk. I had had a fall at our our previous stop and had limited mobility and this was not the place we had expected. I must add that the apartment itself is lovely and is in a quiet location. So quiet that the horses pulling the carts in town stay nearby. However I was surprised to find the fridge full of food including half used food. Then I discovered that the closet held clothes that belonged to our host. The dresser drawers in the bedroom where full of his personal clothing as well. It just did not feel right to us. We had just come from a ten star VRBO in Rome that was beyond perfect. We never felt comfortable here. However our host was there for us when we had to go to the police as my husband had been pickpocketed. We had received no instructions as to what to do with the garbage ( the outdoor bins required a key which we did not have and the host never replied to my email/text ) so we had to leave it inside the apartment when we left. Another concern was the lack of places to eat ( there were only two ), to purchase a coffee and croissant in the morning, it was very far from everything. I have never given such a low review before and in all honesty the host is a lovely individual and his home is wonderful but it just was not for us. Perhaps I should have read between the lines more. I certainly questioned the lack of recent reviews and accepted his reply. It is not easy for me to be so brutally honest but I have to tell the truth. If you are a healthy long distance walker and don't mind someone else's things around you then this is the place for you.

Comfortable with a homey feeling.

Massimo was a great host that showed us all the workings of his lovely apartment. The apartment is a couple of blocks from the busy crowds in Florence. It has several great restaurants nearby and is a welcome sight after a long day of sightseeing. Enjoyed the balcony and all of the comforts of home. The apartment is well equipped, has a comfortable king size bed and modern bathroom. Great security and very quiet. I would definitely stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautifully Appointed Firenze Apartment

The photos do not begin to represent the beauty of this apartment. The artwork, sculptures and antiques are outstanding. And if you like books, there are books everywhere on just about any topic in many languages. Massimo was very outgoing and thorough in his welcome and instructions. While we did not cook meals at the apartment, the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen utensils. The location is near the new Opera House somewhat out of the heart of the city. So we walked and walked (the buses and Metro are right there but we preferred to walk off our gelato!) Another bonus is the small balcony where we enjoyed coffee and wine. Three cautionary points: buses pass by the apartment regularly to turn in a loop to head back to their routes. They can be very noisy. The balcony overlooks the former train station which has a very industrial, edgy look with lots of artwork, aka graffiti. However, Italy seems to have lots of graffiti everywhere! Lastly, the 2 prong electric converters do not work in this apartment. Instead they use a 3 prong electrical connection. Fortunately Massimo had converters that were compatible. Oh and the shower is a bit tricky as the shower head is handheld and not mounted - just a bit of a juggling act. This is a lovely apartment and I would encourage anyone to enjoy it's comforts and decor.

Like staying at a friends!

Beautiful apartment, very close to tram and direct to train station. Loved the neighborhood near the apartment too. Fabulous restaurants. Once we figured out the tram we were set to see Florence, Sienna and Pisa. Just a train ride away. Massimo was a great host. He showed us all the ins and outs of his place and we were able to do laundry! If we are lucky enough to came back we would definitely stay there.

Perfect Spot for Light Sleepers!

We loved staying in this apartment a little outside of Florence center. It was very quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. Being on the top floor of the building with very quiet neighbors we had a great night's sleep and woke up refreshed for a day of touring and museums. The apartment looks just like the pictures and is near the Florence Opera building in a residential area. We would rent next time we go to Florence.

Conveniently located in a luxury building with garage parking and roomy elevator

Florence was our second stop on a 3 week trip to Italy. We stayed here for 6 nights from Sept. 15 - 20. Massimo was very welcoming and gave us some good restaurant recommendations and directions for public transportation. And, his English is excellent! Garage parking is also available which was very important to us since we arrived by car, however, I would not recommend driving since Florence is under construction; using public transportation or walking is very easy and convenient. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the Duomo but again, public transportation options are available. We used taxi’s which I found very convenient. The apartment is in a very quiet area of Florence but fairly close to the city center. Located on the 6th floor the elevator, accessible from the garage, is a necessity and roomy enough for two with luggage. Massimo’s home is quiet and nicely decorated with many nice pieces, however, it is evident he lives there at least part-time as many of his personal items were in the closet and dresser drawers. My only complaint was although it was stated bathtub/shower, the shower was a hand-held piece with no place to hang the hand-held so unless you are traveling with a companion who is happy to hold the shower head it’s a little inconvenient to shower. If you are a bath person, all is well. Air conditioning and heat are guest controlled and the washing machine is a plus. We found a laundromat near-by for drying. Everything worked well and the wifi was reliable.

Beautifully appointed apartment, well located for tourist activities in Florence

Massimo was very welcoming and pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The apartment is lovely and well appointed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Close to the city centre, (walking distance) and major attractions, this apartment is very well situated for tourists, and also locals wishing a get-away. Would have no trouble recommending this property.

Massimo has very thoughtfully equipped the apartment with all the necessities of a home away from home. Upon arrival (I was early and he was there!), he showed me where everything was and how everything worked. There were things "to get you started" until you could get to the market for groceries: coffee (yea!), tea, water, wine, pasta.... The apartment has a full refrigerator and freezer which came in handy for all the things I wanted to keep cold in this unseasonaly hot 2-week perĂŹod (May 29-June 12). The apartment is a little over one long block from the tram and stops for smaller buses that circle around the city. On the street behind the apartment are a grocery store and additional bus stops for various city buses. You can reach that street by crossing the commercial center at the end of the apartment building and then turning right. The apartment complex's residents are quiet. In fact, there is only one other apartment on your floor. Nice. Thanks, Massimo. You are a good landlord!

Well cared for and welcoming vacation rental

Massimo's apartment, located across the street from the old train station, Porta al Prato, was extremely comfortable, clean and lovingly furnished by an artistic soul. The bed was particularly comfortable and the modern tub provided some long soaks after a lot of walking. Although we did not cook there, the kitchen was well stocked and my adult daughter and I did enjoy our morning espresso from the patio. The wi-fi worked perfectly and the apartment also had a very nice, modern elevator. Upon our arrival, our host was thorough in explaining the various things we needed to know about the apartment in case of emergency and he left us a map with list of restaurants and sites noted though we got lost anyway as most visitors to a new city do at first. We were able to orient ourselves relatively quickly and walked into the Center - about a mile - twice a day. The apartment building is located not in an old section of town but on a wide street with similar 5 and 6 story buildings. You need to walk a few blocks to enter the old section. Although the view from apartment feels somewhat industrial with the old non-functioning train station across the street, it is also on the top floor and offers views of the neighboring hillside towns so we saw some pretty sunsets. Our host lead us to a nearby grocery store our first day and within a few blocks there are restaurants and other amenities. The taxi from Santa Maria Novella was about 10 or 11 Euros and we were able to walk a couple of blocks to a nearby Marriott to catch a cab to the airport which cost about 25 Euros. All in all, we thoroughly cherished this lovely home away from home. We appreciated our host's good communications both in the initial back and forth and being flexible with our arrival and departure. Would love to visit again and can definitely recommend to other Firenze visitors.

Nous avons passé une semaine trÚs agréable dans le logement. Massimo nous a accueilli avec une grande gentillesse et nous a renseigné trÚs précisément. L'appartement est trÚs chaleureux, propre, bien décoré et équipé de tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin, comme chez nous! Il est bien situé : on peut y garer la voiture, puis se déplacer à pieds (15-20 minutes pour arriver dans le centre de Florence, ou à la gare) ou bien avec les transports en commun. Le tram pour l'aereoport passe pas loin. Le grand Parc des Cascine est à 5 minutes, pour balades ou jogging. Nous avons dit à Massimo que nous reviendrons !
