1) in early December, we asked the concierge to make a number of lunch and dinner reservations for us. He said they were confirmed. When we got to the first restaurant we realized he didn’t make a single arrangement on our behalf and was lying to us 2) the concierge’s last day at the Grand Tirolia was our first full day at the resort. The hotel did not monitor an outgoing employee’s behavior and activity with guests when they knew he was leaving, and left us, the guests, to deal with the consequences. 3) the new concierge was not able to make any arrangements for us because it is high season. The one “confirmed” dinner reservation he made turned out to not have a table for us. 4) we have asked to speak with the hotel manager for 4 days, but they have not reached out to us 5) the taxi transfer we asked them to arrange for us was told to us by the hotel to cost EUR395. When we got to the airport, the driver said it was EUR445 6) our room was not made up on both of the days we were there 7) a Russian guest slipped on the wet floor in the spa and needed to be taken to the airport.

The staffs were friendly. Hotel facilities are top notch. Food services was excellent. Everything was near perfect except the Ski Shop in hotel. I understand the hotel may just leased the build to ski shop and the shop may not be a part hotel at all, but it doesn't match with hotel standards. The skis were outdated, no high end skis even they claimed they had, and didn't allow you return rental ski early for any reason. We did many many ski trips in Austria Alps this is the first ski shop has this kind ridiculous policy. Try to avoid The hotel Ski Shop. You can rent ski at Ski Resort at better brands, better price, and NEW skis.

As a frequent traveler around the world staying in 5 star hotels, this hotel ranks in the top 5 in my travels. The staff was highly accommodating and kind, the breakfast buffet top notch with a wide variety of food. The spa was so good and even better than many dedicated spa resorts (they had 4 different types of saunas!). Gym was brand new with a large selection of workout equipment and the wing of the hotel we stayed at was also brand new. They have a ton of activities for kids (dedicated pool area and activity center). They are also building a whole new section of playground outside if you have little ones. Next time I'm back in Kitzbuhel I'll definitely be staying here.
