Arrived a bit early, 1p, check in at 3. Walked into the lobby, completely dark. Asked about early check in and was given a very short response. When I inquired further to push the rude response, I was told the room wasn't clean. I had a non refundable reservation as we had made it on the road a few hours early. ( with the opening intro I would have canceled had I had the option)
We were told we could use the pool prior to check in. We grabbed lunch and returned about 2pm. Upon getting in the hot tub, I noticed broken glass on the pool deck. I spent the next 20 scouring the deck picking up shards of glass. It was spread over half of the pool deck. I have no doubt some was in the water. Upon checking in, not with the same clerk, I notified her of the glass and showed her the handful I picked up. The first response was telling me where the garbage can was, followed by saying they had not been notified of the glass. No offer of compensation, no apology. Additionally upon entering the front door of the hotel there was a broken window. There was trashed stacked up next to the vending and ice machine on the second floor. That trash was still there the next morning when we left. I was told there cwould be breskfast starting at 6am. We left the hotel a couple of minutes to 6 and nothing appeared to be getting set up.. I wouldn't have eaten there anyway. Overall it was a crummy place, clearly management and the employees are uninspired.
