Clean and comfortable
Well appointed and very clean. Only thing we were missing was something for airflow in the bedrooms (it could get quite stuffy if you sleep with the door closed). Close enough to everything without being in the middle of everything. The host was fantastic, and helped return a beloved stuffed animal that was accidentally left behind.
We stayed at a beautiful home in Hancock, ME during our trip to Acadia National Park, and despite the rainy weather, the house truly made our stay memorable. Tucked away in peaceful woods just 20 minutes from Acadia, the home felt like a walking museum—full of African art, books, and personality. The interiors were stunning, with a spacious living room, open kitchen, and cozy bedrooms with large closets. The outdoor space, complete with a firepit and seating, was perfect for relaxing. The gracious hosts added a personal touch by sharing their story and providing firewood, making the stay even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, inspiring retreat close to nature.

Roomy Cottage at a Decent Location with Lots of Amenities
We stayed for several nights and enjoyed our time here. The interior is quite big and there is a lot of open space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed using the popcorn popper as well. Even though there is no forced air heating or cooling, we felt quite comfortable, even with the outside temperature ranging from 40s to 80s. The internet seems to be using Starlink and was quite fast.
The location is fairly convenient. It's about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and most Acadia National Park points of interest. Ellsworth is 10 minutes away and have many grocery and restaurant options.
The road to get to the cottage is unpaved gravel. We were a bit surprised upon arrival but it was not too bad.
