Getting Around:

The roads to the home are paved, with a short gravel driveway that can be a little bumpy. We recommend taking it slow and driving carefully.



Other Things to Note:

Four Bear Hideaway is surrounded by the natural beauty of the North Georgia Mountains, which means you may occasionally see local wildlife. Please keep an eye on children and pets while enjoying the outdoors.



Coosawattee is a peaceful community, so we ask guests to be respectful of neighbors, keep outdoor noise reasonable, turn off outside lights by 10 PM, and respect surrounding private properties. Excessive noise or disruptive behavior may require management intervention, and in serious circumstances, management may need to ask guests to leave the property.



To help keep the community clean and enjoyable for everyone, please make sure all trash is securely bagged and placed properly in the designated bins. Loose or unbagged trash may result in a $250 fee, and improperly secured bins may be subject to additional community charges.



Two resort passes are provided for up to 8 guests total. Guest information must be submitted in advance for access to the gated community.



Dogs are welcome! The home accommodates up to 2 dogs for a $100 pet fee per dog, per stay. Please let us know about your pets before arrival so we can have everything ready for you.

Overall the cabin was very nice, there was a hiccup with the cabin code and check in process that was resolved after some back and forth with the host, and there was a minor appliance issue that the host was also prompt to address. I wouldn't think either of those will be repeat issues. Our family enjoyed many games of pool and spending mornings and evenings on the balconies, there were plenty of deer hanging out around the area so just take the road slow and enjoy the drive to and from the property :)Our family would return to stay here again

Over all the Cabin was on top of the Mountain and beautiful setting, In door and out. Outdoor fireplace was spectacular. Some problems arose with the Cooling & Heat on the Main Floor but these things happen and notto overshadow the overall experience of the Cabin and Location.

The place was AMAZING! Beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, and cozy! I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to others. We go to Ellijay every fall for obvious reasons! I will be keeping this booking in my records for our stays in the years to come! The downstairs area was absolutely perfect for little ones who need entertainment, as well as adults who enjoy playing pool, relaxing in the hot tub, or playing board games. The location of the property was very nice! Being the last house on the road gave tons of privacy and more nature to look upon. The leaves were changing beautifully and the massive windows made for a beautiful view. Definitely my favorite stay yet in Ellijay!

Great cabin and location

The cabin and stay were wonderful. I love the open floor plan. The fireplace on the porch and the hot tub and game room were awesome! The communication with the hosts and with Grand Welcome were great. I will have to say dealing with VRBO was a nightmare, I would recommend booking this cabin directly with Grand Welcome.

Fall getaway

We enjoyed our weekend trip with family to Ellijay. This house was the perfect fit for us. Plenty of beds and space to enjoy a nice weekend together. The Coosawattee River community is a beautiful place! Just wish the weather was prettier so we could have gotten outside a little more. We would definitely come back again.

Great place for a vacay!

Had a great time at this cabin. Liked the little things like the light switches being labeled and charging plugs in bedrooms for electronics. Good internet speed and streaming TVs in all bedrooms. Nice gated community. A lot of deer sighted. Nice pools and easy access to the cabin. Would book again.

Lovely Cabin in Unique Neighborhood

We stayed here for a family weekend and loved it! Close to apple orchards and perfect for a fall getaway. The lower level is perfect to entertain kids, and the view from the main level deck are gorgeous. We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch enjoying the fireplace. We were all amazed by how many deer we saw as well! We counted over 25 one morning - and several fawns. An overall lovely stay!

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful, it was clean and exactly like the online pictures. The only thing that could have been better was that there was a nest of wasps that prevented us from using the firepit. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. We were able to see lots of deer. Overall great weekend and i would stay there again

Before back to school getaway

Brought our 3 kids and a friend each for some fun before school starts. This is our 3rd trip to the area but 1st stay in this house. Accommodations were exceptional, so special to have dog bowls for our pups. Plenty to do to please everyone. We will be back.

My overall impression of this property deserves a five star rating. We were all blown away with the cleanliness and the quietness around the property. Everyone enjoyed the visit. Quality Family Time

This delightful cabin has plenty of amenities to please the whole family. Although we were stuck inside for a rainy day, we were able to make the most of it with a family game, the pool table, and the hot tub in the cozy cabin. Upon arrival, it was welcoming to come in to a basket of snacks and bottled water. There were lots of deer to see while driving through the community. Would have been nice to have maybe a couple more kitchen trash bags available (we were supplied with just two) and maybe a couple more towels just because we have a family of 6.

This was an absolutely stunning property inside and out. We came for a birthday weekend for several family members, and were thrilled with our overall experience. The bedrooms had plenty of space and comfortable beds. The linens were fresh and smelled wonderful. Everyone loved the game room and spent hours together playing pool. The hot tub was well maintained and the perfect addition. There is a beautiful view from the deck and we loved spending time outside. We brought one dog and were excited to see pet bowls and toys available.The firepit area is perfect for a large group, and it was easy to pick up firewood at a nearby location. We noticed a small issue with a fridge leak that was immediately adressed by the owners/rental company. Their prompt communication was very much appreciated!The grill could probably be replaced, as the inside gas elements were worn and broken. Overall, it was still able to be used, it just took a bit longer to cook our food. If you're looking for a large place with plenty of space for family and friends, this is definitely the canin to rent! You can't beat the location, comfort, and communication of the company!

We rented this cabin to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday with our family, including our four daughters and two sons-in-law, so it was meant to be a very special weekend. Unfortunately, the experience was stressful even before we arrived.The verification process required uploading my driver’s license and completing facial recognition. I tried more than six times, but the system kept rejecting it even though I could see the upload. I contacted them multiple times and eventually was told to text my ID, which I did. They replied “thank you,” so I assumed everything was resolved.When we arrived late Friday after a long drive, the gate security struggled to find our reservation, delaying our entry. The cabin is also located far inside the resort on narrow, winding roads.The biggest problem was that we never received the entry code for the cabin. Cell reception was poor and the property manager could not be reached. Even VRBO support had difficulty contacting them. Luckily one of my daughters noticed a back door unlocked, which is how we got inside.The property also did not match the photos well and felt dated. The outdoor furniture had stains, the fireplace was full of ash, and the firewood shown in the listing was not there.We never received the entry code during the stay, so we couldn’t lock the cabin if we left. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was very disappointing.

The cabin has potential to be very nice but it needs some TLC. Someone should have come and inspected the cabin before we checked in as it did not appear to be all that clean. Bathrooms were ok but it just did not have the feeling it had been freshened up before we checked in. The kitchen is in desperate need of good cookware, toaster oven did not work, the refrigerator had not been cleaned and the freezer was dirty and ice was accumulating in a frost free appliance. The decks were full of spider webs with huge spiders in them. We had to call to ask for someone to come get them down so we could enjoy the outside. However the person who came out was the QC manager and he used a stick from the woods to get some of them down. They were everywhere. Around light fixtures, railings, chairs etc. he also sprayed some pest control spray. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to get to all of the webs. The screened in porch would have been nice to sit but the cushions were dirty, the furniture had spider webs all over it, the fireplace had not been swept-ashes were still in the grate and around the fireplace,the floor was full of leaves and dirt and the overhead light fixture was so dim because it was full of bugs and looked like it had not been cleaned for years. We didn’t use the hot tub because we were worried when the last time it was cleaned. The fire pit area was not cleaned and the chairs were filthy. The pictures on VRBO are awesome but the cabin does not live up to what you see.

Beautiful home but host VRBO communication is lacking

Overall, the home is comfortable with beautiful views. Just big enough for 8 people. Hot tub was great at the end of the day. There were some bugs throughout the home that we saw upon check in, some alive and others not, but expected in the setting. Nbd. It is close to downtown, orchards, vineyards etc and a good location. Cons: the home is managed by a property company that has poor and slow communication on VRBO. I would ask 3-4 questions and they would respond answering one question. It was so frustrating going back and forth with the same questions. It’s not until the day before check-in that you get access to being able to text the hosts directly, which was much quicker and they were nice and accommodating. The basement bedroom was very warm despite increasing the AC. There’s only one vent and it wasn’t bringing much airflow down there. The beds could be more comfortable (very firm) and have an oddly elevated height, something to keep in mind for elderly, children, etc. A step stool would be helpful. Finally, the property guide pdf had so many instructions for cleaning prior to checkout. Why are you charging over $500 in cleaning/host fees if you’re making the visitor do so much? We always leave it as clean as possible but asking for that much to be done before 10am is kind of ridiculous. Overall, it’s a really great home in a peaceful setting.
