Newport resort is located very close to Egg Harbor downtown. Staff is friendly and our kids love the playroom and pool.

Rooms vary. Ours was pretty outdated. We had family staying in other rooms and theirs seemed in better condition. Our rooms air conditioning was very loud, it needs updating. The shower and bath need replacing, mildew. Housekeeping does not enter your room, not a full service resort. Common areas are nice.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, with a pullout couch. Thankfully we didn’t have to sleep on the couch because when we tried it for a movie night, we realized the mattress should’ve been thrown away YEARS ago. The bedroom mattresses were awful as well. Although the resort is advertised as having AC (room units only), our second bedroom only had a ceiling fan which didn’t cut it when it was in the 90s outside. Unfortunately, the bathrooms weren’t any better - they felt so dingy with pink rings in the sink and what looked like mold in the showers. One of the showers was inside of a jacuzzi tub, but the shower curtain didn’t fit and it made a terrible mess with the water. The “resort” looked well maintained from the outside but we were very disappointed by the inside. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel to our friends and family and we’d certainly never stay here again.

Egg Harbor convenience.

Egg Harbor and the small towns were a real joy to visit. Eating Cherry pancakes at the Post Office in Ephraim was a delight. The resort was conveniently located and in walking distance to shops and restaurants.
