The included fishing boat was a main draw. My husband attached his trolling motor. Unfortunately, fishing was poor: one (decent) largemouth bass, 4 small pike, 2 small blue gills, and one small crappie for 9 sessions. Biking the Heart of Vilas trail was great. We missed the last line of the small print that stated guests need to bring their own towels, but host Jenneane came to the rescue!

Awesome! Due to a family event we weren't able to arrive until late on Saturday. The host made sure the porch light was on and a few lights in the house. The weather was HOT, but inside the house it was nice and cool. Beds were clean and comfortable. Certainly would recommend it for a family.

Great Week Up North

Our family group of 2 generations greatly enjoyed this home steps from Dam lake. The king suite/bathroom on the first floor was perfect for Grandma and Grandpa! The family could spread out in the dining room, living room and on the deck- perfect for playing games and making memories. We rented a pontoon (Bubba's Boats!) to explore the chain of lakes and do some evening fishing so we never used the rowboat. (40 for gas) Deer could be seen in this beautiful setting daily - and loons too. We made sure to get to our favorite up north restaurant (Blink Bonnie) and this home was the perfect place to return to. We would definitely return. A couple things to note: Bring your own laundry detergent, towels, toilet paper. Hostess was very responsive and willing to meet our needs.

Dam Lake Gem

We absolutely had the best time! The house was beautiful and we loved how many windows had a beautiful view of the lake. This is a Great Lake. Great fishing, swimming, and some boat activities. Saw deer in the back yard and caught fish right off the dock. The owner was so kind and was ready to help if we needed it. We will definitely come back to this beautiful home. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Everything we hoped for and more

This is everything we had hoped for! We wanted a place to relax and spend family time! The property is private. We did not want frills but we had everything we needed in the wonderful old fashioned Northwoods cabin! It fit our family of 6 comfortably! Remember to bring your own washcloths, hand towels and bathing towels for the bathrooms. And the internet was spotty (which was what I wanted) but I would not plan on doing much work or anything requiring internet access. There was better cell reception down by the dock. Short drive to local restaurants, grocery stores and fun! We loved the deck for all of our meals. The lake was not over crowded and so warm for swimming! We will be making this a family tradition. We are very grateful for the owners in sharing their home with us!

Excellent vacation spot.

We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute. The house is spacious, clean, and has everything you could want in a vacation rental. Communication with property manager was excellent. She checked via text every few days to make sure we were happy and to see if we needed anything. The lake was awesome and the sand bottom was great. Did catch a few fish but with more effort I'm sure we could do better. Can't say enough good things about our experience. We definitely would stay again!

Very nice place, the chain of lakes are easy to boat on. Brought our pontoon boat and met a lot of nice people. Grandkids had a ball swimming and exploring. Deer walked through the yard on a daily trip to the lake. Even had a eagle on the deck the last morning.

Wonderful cabin with amazing views

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything we needed and the location was perfect. The lake was beautiful and having a boat to explore it was great. Although we tried our best to fish we were not real lucky this time. But no matter because we just enjoyed the beauty of the area. The fire pit was also great to have especially for making s’mores! We loved the town of Minocqua and just driving the roads. Saw deer, bald eagles, and loved those little chipmunks. Overall a super place to escape to (and escape the Florida heat). Karen from FL.

A Fabulous Stay

We really enjoyed our stay on Dam Lake. The house had everything that we needed for a wonderful time. Every day we saw a Bald Eagle flying in the air and deer everytime we traveled out. A very private house at the end of the road. Very easy access to the lake. The lake itself was beautiful and we had terrific weather the first week of June. Only wished that May was warmer since we didn't get a single bite off the dock. We did use the provided Alumacraft T14V with motor to go and fish in other parts of the lake. The boat was plenty big enough to go all the way under the bridge and into Sand Lake. Please note that you must bring your own towels (bath and kitchen) and pay $35 for a full tank of gas used by the boat. Highly recommend this rental and the host is very responsive and helpful. She made a great suggestion to try Buck Shots in Eagle River for Friday night fish and a vegan salad.
