Welcome to family Brailo 60 square meter apartment. In our apartment there are:
1 matrimony double bedroom, 1 smaller double bed room , kitchen with all necessary modern equipment, Inverter air condition, bathroom with washing machine,living room with cable digital LCD ANDROID TV, music line and DVD. If necessary, we may give you our laptop to check your email or surf on the Internet.
Old city, which is visible from the balcony, is 900 meters from our house, and it takes 10-15 minutes by foot. Bus station is 30 meters from our house and if you want to go by bus, number 8 bus is going every 20 mins.
In case of staying more than 7 days, we offer our guests 1 original Dalmatian sea food dinner-wine included with no charge.

WOW! Where to start…From the moment we arrived at our apartment the service we received was absolutely amazing. Me and my partner are very well travelled and have never encountered a better host than the lovely Tonko. He greeted us on arrival and showed us around whilst sharing a drink with us on the balcony and giving us some fantastic advice about the wonderful city of Dubrovnik.He was around to answer any questions we had and told us some of the best things to do and went the extra mile by helping us book things or getting us required contacts. Along with giving us amazing recommendations for restaurants which suited what we were after.The apartment was very clean, tidy and well kept. The view is absolutely incredible, definitely the highlight of this beautiful apartment. (First and last pictures attached were taken from the balcony!!!) Only 15 minute walk to the old town and harbour, with endless excursion going from the harbour every day, this place really has everything you need, regardless of the type of holiday you are looking for. Tonko and Tanja’s service and amazing home really made this trip one to remember. We did not want to leave! This place is somewhere you don’t want to miss when staying in Dubrovnik, it’s a must!!! Perfect Stay in Every Way 

Tonko and Tanja are excellent hosts so kind and welcoming, really genuine lovely people. They went out of their way to welcome us and help with all of our needs. The apartment is perfectly located away from the busy town but within easy distance. The old town is about a 10 -15 minute walk from the apartment or there is a bus that runs every half an hour until late into the evening. The bus stop is very close to the apartment. The apartment is well equipped for long or short stays and the balcony has stunning views over the sea, with Dubrovnik town in the near distance (very pretty with the lights at night). A couple of beaches are accessible from the apartment by walking down steps. We really recommend it and are planning to return soon. Thank Tonko & Tanja for a lovely stay. Diane & Rob

What a lovely stay and memories we made staying in Dubrovnik. Tonko was super helpful and friendly , nothing was too much trouble for him to settle us in quickly. The apartment was spotless and was thoughtfully equipped. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we stayed at the property and he gave us a bottle of bubbles and his wife made us a delicious cherry strudel which was so kind and unexpected. Would definitely stay here again , thank you!

The best apartment we have ever booked

The hosts Tonko and his wife Tanya were extremely hospitable, providing all the essentials, a glass of wine on our late arrival and preparing a delicious meal for us after our first week. Tonko was always approachable and available for advice. Nothing was too much for him. He arranged airport transfers, he took us in his car for some shopping the day after we arrived and arranged a reduced price tour of the Old City with his daughter in law Natasha. She was a fantastic guide being full of detailed local knowledge about Dubrovnik and its fascinating history. They provided excellent restaurant recommendations. The apartment itself was extremely well equipped including an espresso coffee machine, dish washer and plentiful supply of crockery etc. It was spotless and comfortable with a view from the balcony to die for. It overlooked the Adriatic looking towards the island of Lokrum and the very historic Old Town of Dubrovnik. We normally explore new places each year but we are seriously considering returning to this gorgeous apartment next year.

Perfect apartment - world class view

The apartment is perfectly located with a short walk into the old town, also a short walk to a lovely local beach. The apartment was light and airy with fantastic views from the balcony. Thanks to Tonko and his wife for their generous hospitality. We were welcomed with drinks and during our stay had offerings of home made cake, a delicious snack and local wine, and lemons from the garden. Tonko was extremely friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful stay.

Our stay here was fantastic ! Amazing view & hosts

Tonko (our host) and his wife Tanja could not have been more welcoming. From email on first booking to introduce themselves, video of apartment, arranging pickup at airport, welcoming us at gate, carrying suitcases to apartment, welcome glass of wine on balcony overlooking the amazing view while he went through everything we needed to know about the apartment, where best to eat, how to access the city and arranged a personal guide for the following day (Natasha). Natasha met us at the apartment and from the walk down to the city until she left us at Onofrio's fountain it was hugely informative and away from the busy cruise ship tours (not too mention the hints and tips on where to eat and visit). Then to cap it all on our last evening, Tanja had prepared a light supper for us (complete with bottle of local wine) on our balcony to watch the sunset and Tonko took us to the airport the following morning. The welcome we received made our trip even more special.

We had such a wonderful stay !!! The property is in the most incredible location away from the busy old town but close enough to walk there easily . The view is incredible!! Tonko was incredibly friendly and very helpful . He showed us where to go in the town and had great recommendations for eateries and sights . It was very comfortable and it was very clean . The property in my opinion is perfect for visiting the old town and beach. The view couldn't be better. The apartment living space is super comfortable along with the bedrooms. The hosts are marvellous giving all the advice and welcoming in every way, from the boat ride to lunch on the balcony and arranging our taxi to the airport. The late check out gave us 1 last time to visit our favourite swimming spot below the apartment. Yes there are steps but with the view you get from the balcony they are well worth it. I would highly recommend this apartment. Clean, great location, comfortable and great hosts.

Perfection in Dubrovnik!

Tonko and his wife Tanya are the ultimate hosts in what is an idyllic location just walking distance from the old city center of Dubrovnik. Tonko answered all of our questions before, during and even after our stay. The apartment was beautifully cleaned, stocked with essentials and made us feel 100% safe to enjoy the incredible views of the Adriatic Sea, Lokrum island and old town all from our balcony. The location is easy walking distance into town, from incredible beaches and tantalizing restaurants. Tonko helped with arranging transfers from and back to airport, a wonderful 2 hour historical tour, and reservations at the best restaurants. If we could give this property six stars we easily could. Thank you Tonko and Tanya for an unforgettable stay to Dubrovnik, Croatia!

Fantastic

Our hosts Tonko and Tanja were fabulous, throughout our stay. Tonko brought us a welcome drink and vegetable’s from his garden and Tanja brought us lovely cake and pancakes on our last night. The apartment is very well equipped with everything we could possibly need and the views over the sea to the old town from the apartment balcony are stunning with many hours being spent there watching the boats of all sizes coming and going. The building is situated in a really nice part of town and is only 15 minutes or so walk to the old town. We had a wonderful holiday.

Absolutely beautiful, amazing host and apartment.

Tonko and Tanya, are the perfect hosts, welcoming and helpful, the apartment is beautiful, comfortable, it is very well appointed and has everything one could need or want. The view is spectacular to top it all off. We would recommend it to everyone highly. We are seniors with some limits and did not find the stairs difficult. We would love to return.

A Perfect Honeymoon

We would give more stars if possible but 5/5 is all that is allowed. This property was phenomenal and everything we were looking for. Waking up each morning with a view of old town and the island was beyond expectations. Tonko was an incredible host and were extremely kind, respectful, and helped give us the perfect experience on our honeymoon. Everything from arranging rides to and from the airport, to telling us the local history and how he grew up in Dubrovnik. He also setup a personal guided tour with his daughter in law. Well worth it to get the full rich history of Dubrovnik and really feel immersed in its culture and history. We look forward to going back there when we are able to visit Croatia because of how wonderful Tonko made everything.

We could not have asked for a better place in Dubrovnik. Tonko greeted us with open arms and made us feel like we were at home. He is amazing!!! He gave us the perfect tips on what to do and where to eat. The view is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect. Located right above a cute little beach with a cool cave that makes you feel like you found a secret. We loved that we could look at the island, the old town and the beautiful ocean from the veranda. The walk into old town was lovely. There is a market a restaurants nearby. Tonko, you are the best!!!

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

My wife and I had the good fortune of staying here for two nights. We wish it had been a week. This one bedroom, one bath apartment is everything you could want: a full kitchen, air-conditioning, heat, washing machine, clothes lines off the deck balcony where clothes dry in less than 30 minutes, an easy 15 minute walk to Old Town, 2 small grocery stores within a 5 and 10 minute walk respectively, and killer views of the Adriatic Sea and Old Town Dubrovnik from the cozy balcony where we spent much time mesmerized by the views. However, if you are taller than 5’9”, you will have to duck your head in the shower as the roof slopes. The apartment is located in the “high rent” district. Tonko and Tanja live downstairs, and he is always available for assistance, recommendations, and rides to and from the airport for the cost of his gas money. He is retired but she still works. All that pales in comparison to the royal treatment we received from Tonko. His hospitality, kindness, friendliness and compassion are second to none. Tonko is a fun loving guy with a constant twinkle in his eye. And he was always quick to reply to my many emails and he speaks very good English. We can’t wait to return.

Couldn't Have Asked For A Better Experience!

I wish that we could give more than 5 stars for our stay at Tonko and Tanja's apartment in Dubrovnik. Everything was fantastic!!! We loved Dubrovnik and a lot of it had to do with our rental experience. From the time that we booked our stay, Tonko's communications with us were extremely timely and helpful. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. The view from the balcony is outstanding. We relaxed every morning and evening on the balcony enjoying the beautiful view. The location is only about a 15 minute walk from Old Town and close to a fantastic beach with a restaurant/bar. Tonko arranged for a tour of Old Town for us guided by his extremely knowledgeable daughter-in-law, Nataša. She was fantastic and gave us SO much information that made the rest of our time exploring on our own more meaningful. I could go on and on, but basically we felt like we were staying with family. We can't wait to go back again. Thank you Tonko and Tanja. You made our visit to Dubrovnik truly memorable!

Perfect location! Perfect hosts!

This is a review of our VRBO stay with Tonko and Tanja Brailo while in Dubrovnik, Croatia. First, this charming apartment with its wood-planked ceiling and its amenities were perfect for our stay. Our apartment had a full kitchen, including a freezer we never used, a main bedroom, an extra bedroom we used to store luggage and read in, a dining area, a living room, and a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. For a week’s stay we never wanted for anything. The water in the shower was always immediately hot and plentiful, and Tanja showed us how to run the washing machine, and gave us a box of soap powder to run our laundry. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, sugar and all the appliances, plates, pots and pans, etc. that we would need. However, the main feature of this apartment is its close proximity to Dubrovnik and its excellent view! We had a lovely view of the island of Lokrum and the Old Town of Dubrovnik from our balcony and bedroom, where we could see both the sunrise and sunset, and feel the wonderful sea breezes and while the apartment was across the street on the bus line, we chose to walk 6-10 minutes into town or to the beach. All that said, our main interest in writing this review is to comment on just how lovely Tonko and Tanja made our stay in Dubrovnik. Just off the plane, Tonko greeted us with Croatian wine and sparkling water, and on the last night Tonko and Tanja treated us to a Croatian fish dinner. Throughout our week’s stay, it was a common occurrence for Tonko to bring us a small plate of cherry strudel, chocolate pancakes, grapes from their garden and wine and sparkling water. Tonko is a person who loves people and wants to make his guest’s stay in Croatia special. He is informative and genuinely gracious, but also respectful of your time and space. You can knock on his door at any time of the day and he will help you out with your question or concern, probably over wine or a cappuccino at the picnic table under the grape trellis. We used Tonko to set up our airport transfers, a private tour to Mostar, and a walking tour of Old Town. Everything was done timely and more than met our needs. We can’t recommend them highly enough. They made us feel like more than just visitors — they made us feel like good friends. Our stay with them made the difference in a good vacation and one that exceeded all our expectations. If possible, we would be giving them more than the five stars allowed in the review.

Tonko and his wife were perfect hosts. I recommend you take advantage of any offer to provide breakfast, for a small charge. The Turkish coffee is amazing.
