Stay was really good.. Of course it's Taj and we loved it here .. I am giving it 4 star only because of the fact that when I wanted an extension for a day, the charges were exorbitant ($1000 USD+) and I had to go to another hotel which was in the same category (Le Meridien) but was in the range of $380... So that was that.. other than that everything was exceptional.. the private beach is great.. wish they had a marina close by where we could do jet skiing and boating...

I would rate the hotel 4.5 stars, not quite 5 stars. The rooms advertised are Palm Sea View and Sea View, we selected Sea View. There is no sea view, all rooms look onto the Palm. They moved us to another room which overlooked the pool and the palm after we complained. They have fitted some self closers to the interior room doors but they don't quite fit so instead they chose to cut a section of the door out! Breakfast - no pork option but they serve pork in the restaurant at night. Fruit selection was basic. Outdoor dining area - if you like birds (crows, mynah birds, collared doves - we do) then you're Ok, if not sit indoors as the hotel has no effective deterrents for the bird population and some diners were quite annoyed by the pestering. Location - be prepared for a 30 minute drive just to get off the palm, the traffic around Atlantis is very bad - not the fault of the Taj of course but worth noting if you want to travel into town. The staff are excellent, very friendly and accommodating and the pool and grounds are also first class. We had some amazing food in the Indian restaurant.

The hotel property was very nice. The room was nice but fairly standard for a Dubai hotel. What made our stay was the very friendly staff. The service was great. Staff around the pool and the lifeguard by the kids pool was very good and accommodating.

We had booked an extra night as our flight into Dubai was arriving at 5am and we wanted to be able to check in when we arrived at the hotel. Prior to arrival members of the team had sent me a few messages regarding check in time - at each occasion the info was supplied. The room was perfect and the view spectacular. Staff are very attentive. The room was clean. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the people in the next room when we were in the bathroom. You can also hear people in the hallway. We had a room on the second floor. The on site restaurants are nice with great quality food - but they are also very expensive. The pool area is big. The grounds are beautiful. The spa was lovely. Villi was an excellent therapist. Spa facilities are good and clean. We didn’t book our accommodation with breakfast but we did add it on when we checked in. On checkout our bill was incorrect as we were charged an additional day for breakfast - so check your bill. Keep a record of ur mini bar purchases as well. It just makes it easier on check out. I chose this hotel because of the location on the palm, lovely beach, resort feel and the variety of restaurants and the spa. The Taj brand is synonymous with hospitality and it didn’t disappoint in terms of the staff’s attentiveness. Housekeeping and in room dining was very good.

Indian tradition greetings on Arrival,which none other Hotels offer, rooms 10/10 cleaned twice a day on request. Staff were amazing on all level. Room service “Milan “ attended both our rooms and made sure ample drinking water and towels. In the coffee area near the lobby Elaine took care of organising my daughter in law birthday cake. In the dining Area Breakfast was out of this world ,such a selection for Vegan and Vegetarian. Mr. Rishab Manger of the Resturant was excellent,looked after us and my family really well.

Room and staff were nice and friendly. At check in they messed up my reservation. When came to find out why my room was not a sea view like I had reserved, they said that the reservation was for a standard room. Even after showing them a print out of the reservation receipt from Expedia, they claimed that is not what Expedia had booked for me. They told me to contact Expedia to get it resolved with them. I had a hard time getting hold of anyone at Expedia, so I took the matter into my own hands. I spoke with a manager at the hotel. I asked him to confirm my reservation number. They had a different number compared to what I had on my reservation record. They finely realized there was a mistake and changed my room. But they did not admit it was their fault and blamed it on us. The following morning I had issues with the breakfast. They said my breakfast was not included and that I would need to pay for it. This happened again the next day too. It was finally resolved but the overall experience from a 5 star hotel to treat their customers this way is not acceptable.
