The staff at this hotel were great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable and, during our stay, very quiet The breakfast is nice. For the price the hotel is a good value. Walking distance to Old Dubai City and the creek (to catch a boat to the souks across the river). Lots of good restaurant options. About a 10 min walk from the Metro, then 15 mins on the metro for the Burj and DIFC etc. Neighborhood is safe. Largely a residential area with a majority SE Asian population.

The room floor was not clean, I was given a room with a balcony but firstly you cannot use it as too small secondly you could not even open the curtains as the room was being overlooked by a building opposite. In this instance there should be 2 sets of curtains, one sheer so as to be obscure to a degree but most importantly to let natural light into the room
