We stayed in Barley Cottage across the road from the hotel. It was fantastic for the 4 of us that stayed there. Staff are very attentive. The food in the hotel was excellent. Especially the breakfast. Lovely cosy bar and restaurant. Could not have asked for a nicer nights stay in the peak district.

Stayed for one night on our way to visit friends. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and then a wonderful comfortable night's sleep before a fantastic breakfast in the morning. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and we particularly appreciated being shown how everything worked in the room such as the coffee machine and the Aircon. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!

Staff very freindly and helpful. Room was lovely with a good coffe machine and a complementary scone, cream, jam, etc. Some small problems with light coming through the vision panel in the door but stunning setting really enjoyed stay.
