Boasting beams, solid wood and slate floors and other original characteristics, this is a grade II listed cottage in the heart of historic Dolgellau. Ideally located for exploring the National Park and glorious sandy coastline, there's Cadair Idris and the moutains of southern Snowdonia, mountain biking at Coed-y-Brenin, local horse riding and a wealth of other outdoor activities. The convenient town location offers a good choice of small shops, cafes and pubs.

Schöne Unterkunft in einem schönen Städtchen

Der Einzug verlief sehr unkompliziert. Die Vermieter waren immer erreichbar. Das Haus hat alle Räumlichkeiten, die für den Urlaub benötigt werden und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Es bestand keine Parkplatzgarantie, aber i. d. R. war unweit des Hauses ein Parkplatz zu finden. Die Sanitäreinrichtungen waren so gut wie neu und funktionierten einwandfrei. Das Zentrum von Dolgellau ist sehr einfach fußläufig zu erreichen und hat alle wichtigsten Dienstleister vor Ort, vor allen Dingen einen kleinen Supermarkt, mehrere Bäcker sowie Restaurants und Pubs und einen Fish & Chips Verkauf in unmittelbarer Nähe (2 Minuten zu Fuß). Die Küche ist aber gut ausgestattet, so dass wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) uns gut selbst verpflegen konnten und auf Restaurants nicht angewiesen waren. Ein großer Supermarkt ist nicht weit entfernt vom Zentrum. Die schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten (z. B. Burg Harlech, Cader Idris, etc.) von Nord-Wales sind gut von Dolgellau erreichbar und die Landschaft ist wunderschön und abwechslungsreich (Berge, Seen, Flüsse und das Meer). Der schöne Küstenort Barmouth mit wunderschönem, großem Strand ist nur 12 km entfernt. Der Mawddachtrail bietet sich förmlich für einen Fahrradausflug nach Barmouth an. Hervorzuheben ist hierzu die Nähe zum Fahrradverleih im Zentrum von Dolgellau. Jederzeit würden wir wieder kommen.
