"The property description is not right. I booked one bedroom for 3 people. Normally there is a sofa bed . "Only stay at this hotel if it is the cheapest and you have no other options. It’s very basic and falling apart and staff were rude. But it’s a good location and often the cheapest place in London."

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London ExCel
"Hotel was clean, check in was quick. It was nice to get some cookies during check in. Room size was as expected. We didn’t get the waterfront view so can’t comment on that. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Amenities in room was basic. We booked family room so sofa bed was there. Three bottled water was provided but it was not replenished for subsequent nights. While stay was fine the breakfast was average (standard British breakfast options) and it could have been better. Restaurant was overlooking waterway so was great but some more attention on cleanliness would be better. Staff were polite and friendly which was plus. The hotel has a bar and fitness centre. We didn’t use either so can’t comment on that but looked great. There is sufficient parking space (£15/night) and some charging stations if you drive EV (make sure you carry charging cables as station don’t have one and you to have to use your own). DLR station is 10 mins walk and buses accessible (5-7 mins walk). Very close to London City airport (you could see planes landing and taking off across the waterfront). Although outside is noisy due to planes landing and taking off, interestingly rooms are sound proof so you don’t hear those noises at all. Overall we were satisfied with it the stay just felt some services could be improved further to enhance the experience."

"The location was quiet ; very handy for the Elizabeth Line & DLR to central London ; Possible to explore by foot from the Yacht ; onboard breakfast and bar meals very good."
