Our holiday home "Luise am See" (= Luise beside the Lake) is a 50sqm large new building (completed in May 2015) for 2-4 persons with a characteristic wooden front in Flessenow, beside Lake Schwerin. The house offers its guests a sunny south-west terrace with barbecue, another fireplace in the house, walk-in shower, full-surface floor heating, free Wifi, washing machine and quality equipment with built-in kitchen incl. dishwasher.The property offers 700sqm for sole use and has an idyllic location. It is located at a little-traveled road and is only seperated from the lake by a 50m strip of forest. A bathing area with a large sunbathing area is 100 meters away.Our cottage "Luise am See" is ideal for couples and families in every season - tranquility is guaranteed. The well-developed network of cycle paths through the nature reserve towards Wismar or along Lake Schwerin towards city of Schwerin provides space for active vacation. It is located at the northern end of the road K101 (PCH1) on Lake Schwerin, at a distance of 20km from the City of Schwerin. The holiday house "Luise am See" itself is located at the northern end of Flessenow, only separated by a 100m wide strip of woods from the lake. There is no through traffic, only cyclists and walkers can use the paths behind Flessenow through the nature reserve towards Wismar. Flessenow is an ideal starting point for activities at the Schwerin Lake District. The extensive hiking and cycling trails around the Lake Schwerin run right through Flessenow. In Flessenow there is a hotel, a campground and a youth hostel. There is a large swimming area with a lawn and a number of small hidden coves. In the village there is a restaurant (at the hotel) as well as a snack bar and a kiosk (camping). Canoes can be rented at the local youth hostel. The landscape around Flessenow around is dominated by other large and small lakes, small villages, numerous forests and fields. The rivers Warnow and Mildenitz flow through the Sternberger Seenland and offer canoe trips at an impressively original nature.Other leisure facilities : The state capital Schwerin with the Schwerin Castle provides cultural highlights. It offers its guests a historic old town to enjoy many events and it's location at a total of 12 lakes. Almost as impressive as Schwerin Castle is the Castle of Ludwigslust with the largest castle park in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Baltic sea can be reached by car within a few minutes. The Hanseatic city of Wismar with its beautiful old town and interesting harbor can be reached in about half an hour. You want to swim in the sea? The beaches on the island of Poel can be reached within 45 minutes, the large seaside resorts in Rerik, Boltenhagen and Kühlungsborn are only slightly further away.
