This ionic hotel has a lot of historical significance, in a wonderful location with beautiful bay view. The room is very quiet and easy to access, with lot of parking spaces. The breakfast has all the varieties. The elevator is out of order, but the 3rd floor is not high. Of all, we were truly enjoy the stay.

Would stay again but priority needs some TLC

Gorgeous view of the area and staff is very hospitable. The food was amazing and the property had lots to do for everyone. The scenery was beautiful. Cottage is in need of some repairs and updates. Dated decor and some malfunctioning lights and things. Accessibility is an issue as there were stairs to everything and the elevator was down in the main building. Would stay again but things need some attention.

I loved this hotel and would absolutely stay here again. It is an older hotel but obviously well cared for; the pool was beautiful and the breakfast was wonderful. Our family stayed in a cabin which was comfortable and reasonably priced.

I am incredibly disappointed with my stay at this property! It boasts a rich heritage of quality and promotes experiences centered around “rest and rejuvenation,” but sadly, it fell far short of these promises. The live music, which I Did NOT anticipated, was unexpectedly loud, permeating even my third-floor room. I imagined a peaceful retreat, but instead, I felt as though I was trapped in a bustling pub, where the hotel itself deprived me of the peacefully and quite enjoyment of my room. When I approached management about the excessive noise, I was met not with understanding, but with sarcasm. I was even told to consider finding another hotel, which left me feeling both frustrated and disheartened. To add insult to injury, we awoke on Sunday to find the power was out, and, as a result, there was no breakfast available—a meal that was included with our booking. When I raised this issue, the hotel refused to credit us for the breakfast we could not enjoy, forcing us to seek alternatives and spend additional money out of pocket. This experience was far from the relaxing getaway I had hoped for and I would no recommend it as a place to stay.

The property is old and dated needs an update. Saying that the room was clean but bathroom wasn’t very nice to use. Tub and shower was moldy and very outdated. Shower leaked everywhere, barely any water coming out.

We stayed here 1 night on our travels through Nova Scotia. In its prime I’m Sure this hotel was lovely & grandiose. The rooms were nice, clean & spacious but unfortunately the bathroom needs a gut job. It was relatively clean but there was mold visible on the bathroom tub tiles. It’s the tiny details that made me rate this hotel lower than excellent…like peeling paint on the window sills, paint spills on the floor tile & mirror frame. On the positive side the bed was great and the dinner in the hotel was excellent as was our server.

Not worth the cost

Stuck us in a postage stamp outdated room with a view of the parking lot. No room to open your suitcase except on the bed. Bathroom shower head was a cheap plastic fixture that barely had a few drips coming out. Tub taps were ancient and you had to constantly turn either the cold or hot lower or higher depending on who else was using water in the next rooms. The "Free" breakfast buffet was very good, the room was just bad.
