The property was nice and clean. The breakfast was very basic. Coffee was less than standard. No closets and limited space in the rooms which is weird since the building isn’t in the city or a congested area.

Our stay for a Baptisim

We were very happy with our stay last week-end. The room was nice and very clean. The front desk staff was friendly. The woman that was keeping the breakfast bar stocked was very friendly and greeted us so kindly in the morning.We will definitely stay at the Tru again when we visit the Detroit area. Thank-you.

The bed was comfortable and the room quiet, i slept well. Breakfast was the standard scrambled eggs and sausage, yogurt, pastries, apples, oatmeal, cold cereal, milk & juice. It was clean and well kept, I would stay here again.

We couldn’t sleep on the last night of our stay due to stress and a loss of trust in the hotel’s safety and service. The smoke detector in our room went off multiple times after midnight with no clear reason. The first time, we were jolted awake in a panic. We went to the front desk several times for help, but the staff were dismissive and offered no assistance. Despite repeatedly reporting the issue, nothing was done. Instead, we were blindsided by a $250 fee after checkout — completely unreasonable given the circumstances! Even after explaining everything to management, they refused to refund the charge. No empathy, no accountability, and no effort to make it right!
