Perfect location, Good House, A Couple of Things We Didn't Expect
We were in the area to help our daughter and son-in-law after the birth of their baby. We had the house for 3.5 months. This house was in a perfect location for being near restaurants, grocery stores, chain stores, plus less than a 10 minute drive to our daughter's house in Ferndale. The neighborhood has great sidewalks and a good park. It's a great place to be if you want to take a walk.Erik was very responsive when I messaged him in the app.The house was as described in the listing except for three things: The listing says there are no steps. There is actually a small 3 inch step from the parking area up to the front entry. There is also a step on the inside to get from the kitchen into the laundry/storage area. It is possible, though not convenient, to access that area without navigating a step from an exterior door in the back.Another thing is the bed in the 2nd bedroom is a full size measuring 75" x 54" rather than a queen. I brought this to the attention of the owner. He said he will change the listing after my stay concludes and he has a chance to measure it himself to make sure what I said is correct. The 3rd thing is the living room sofa is not a sofa bed. Maybe that was just my interpretation, but in the "About this Property" section it says, "The main sofa coverts into a sofa bed for extra sleeping space". Actually, it does not convert. It is a fixed L-shaped sofa where one adult could sleep as long as they aren't too large.We enjoyed our stay.
