Older Property more like a motel, but very convenient to a grocery store and not far from Denali National Park. Beds were comfortable. Staff was wonderful. They even shared that we might see a moose and her calf around a certain time of day which we did. It was a special bonus.

Location was convenient. One bed was missing sheet. Staff was not personable at all-except for only one young housekeeper-he was the only one who even greeted us during our stay. Door on one of our 3 motel rooms looked like it had been kicked during attempted breakin. Rooms definitely need updating.

Perfect stay for budget friendly
This was great for a few nights stay, best price I could find. Not far from the park. I was only IN the room for sleeping, not hanging around. It was clean, check out was easy (key drop), and parking was right in front of room. The bathroom was a bit small, but it was manageable for a shower and toilet use. Would go again to save money. Not far from the entrance to Denali (maybe an 8-10mins drive tops), but easy to find as it is right off the highway.

Plenty of hooks to hang towels, which is essential if you aren't going to provide fresh towels. The room was dated but comfortable. Fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. However, there were no cups to use the coffee maker. When we went to the lobby to get coffee, the female worker told us "good luck." There was coffee, but I'm not sure why she didn't offer to make some if necessary. There had been fires at Denali National Park before we arrived. We flew into Anchorage & planned to drive to Denali (five hours). The news said the park was closed. I called the hotel & asked about the fires, as I was trying to assess whether to make the drive or cancel the room. The female who answered told me definitively that everything was open. I questioned that because our tour bus into Denali had been canceled. She acknowledged the tour bus tours were canceled but assured me that everything else was open. She lied! When we arrived, we learned the park was closed entirely. The worker was correct that the restaurants and touristy places were open; however, since no one was allowed in the park, we had trouble making reservations for other activities. With one exception, every place we called was completely booked. We had to drive an hour away for a dog sled tour. For the 2 days we were there, that is the only activity we were able to do. We asked the hotel for hiking places and were shown trails in the park. The park was closed so the info was useless!

Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. No restaurant, no staff service after 10pm. Room is clean though. Weak cellular signal in the hotel location. The hotel wireless signal is very weak and often disconnected.

I was handed an ice tray for ice, the fridge did not cool, so the ice had melted by morning when I wanted more. The toilet stopped up and was unusable, though there was a stand alone potty in the parking lot, which we had to use. Very nice people in the office, but the telephone in the room did not work to notify anyone of the problems.

Find somewhere else if you want a normal hotel stay. Healy is about 10 miles from Denali NP and is in the sticks. The people are helpful but the place has something to desire.

A great budget option for seeing Denali park. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t need. Only thing that’s worth pointing out is the rooms are not air conditioned. This meant keeping the curtain open for air and trying our best to sleep despite the midnight sun.
